If your polished blade has trouble going through cardboard, i believe the edge isn't sharpened.

My polished edges fly through cardboard. And it's not even half as pretty as the ones in this thread...

I'm talking about really thick cardboard that you need to saw through instead of just slicing, normal cardboard I have no problem with. I make sure all my polished edges can pushcut phonebook paper so they are indeed sharp.
