Edgumacate me on the Great Eastern 73 single blade

Here's a comparison pic of a #23 and #73. I had one of the earlier 73's (two-blade) and it was a nail breaker. I'll second what Trand said about the newer ones with the lanyard hole being easier to open. They're not wimpy by any means and they have good walk & talk, but they're a heckuva lot friendlier than the earlier ones.

Ash, the #23s are 4-1/2" closed and come either single blade with or without linerlock, and two blade. No #23 lockbacks.

#72s are 3-7/8" closed and come single blade lockback only, with either clip, spear or Wharncliffe.

#73s are 3-3/4" closed and come either single blade with or without linerlock, and two blade. No #73 lockbacks.

Thank you. I've been dealing with a lot of GEC's lately but all I could see different were sizes basically and all 72's were single lockback. I'm getting it. I was a big case fan until lately so this GEC stuff is still pretty new to me.

This was my first GEC (from a fellow member,) and stall my most favorite.

The #73 was my second knife from GEC. I bought a #23, but it just seemed a bit much for my liking, so I ordered the little brother.
It's become my favorite ever since, it's my hunting season companion, it heads to the streams when it's time to fish and it will be camping this weekend.

It's gone the most miles and taken the most abuse, the fact that it keeps coming back for more and that it has preformed so well is what makes it special. I now have a #23 that I love, but it's still a little big for some jobs, so the #73 will forever have my love. I chose the Liner lock version, it's just an added safety that I like to have when I'm out and about in the woods.

This knife also helped me pick a few hundred pumpkins, it more than earned it's keep that day.

Ash,

No need to be sorry, I just wanted to try and make it seem less confusing.

Sorry I didn't catch what you meant.

Found one, not so nice as Christians  though. Keep those pics coming.

Oh yeah, after digging through Great Eastern listings on different sites, I have come to the conclusion that this one will not be my "last" :foot:   ;).
