Building a new cold weather EDC bag. Which BKT would you put in it?

I have them all, so, all models apply.

Basic setup is a Get Home Bag. I has water, backup cold weather clothing(compressed), my pistola+ ammo, multitool, Clif Bars (Peanut butter) Bics out the wazoo, fatwood, jute, cottonballs in straws, flashlights (3), poncho, FAK, SAK, small road flare, ferro rod, and some cash.

Need to decide on some steel.......

Being a knife nut is f#%&kin' difficult sometimes.......

i say the bk2 mainly becuase its the only one i have atm but would be a good size vs utlity with the other items you have!

BK9. One knife to rule them all.

Don't know what yer askin us fer. You know more about knives and have more firsthand experience than most of us. Just take one of whichever you have the most of.:D

BK9, in case you gotta build shelter or move a mountain. Throw in a 16 for good measure, between the two you'll have your bases covered.

mayhaps you should add a poll too this post let the masses decide your're knife for the winter fate!! baaahaaawwwww

Personally I would go for the 3 in the event I needed to acquire something...

If I was to be in a rural area, I'd go for the 77.

I concur with this reasoning. Damn, that's scary.

I am really like my combo of the 77 and 15. However I think for cold weather EDC bag a 77 in the bag would be good since you can chop with it, and have some reach for batoning, and rust is not really an issue with the S30V so if it sat in a cold damp truck in the winter it would be fine. If you are looking to really cut down on weight I like the 15, can get alot done with that blade.

I bet you have a 11, 14 or 24 on you always so I pick a 9 if you need to get home get home in style.

You dont seem to be the type that worries about pack weight too much. I would go with the 9/16 combo (especially if you always have a 11/14 on you) Do you carry a sharpening tool in your bag? Any pics of the setup?

I would go with the 9 you have small blade covered on the SAK. 9 could help you disassemble the car for any parts you would want to take (cut out a shield from the hood or trunk lid to match the 9 as a sword). even though you packed the pistol (guessing concealed) the BK9 sends firm message without words. 6X8 tarp (green/brown would be good too, wind block concealment, rain shield etc).

The key word here is "COLD".....so I say BK9 all the way. It will do all but will do great at chopping and processing wood... You know that stuff you use to make fire and shelter, the two most important things to keep you warm ;)
