Nice display restoration, Glenn!!While the knives in this display aren't elusive, a nice display cabinet can be. I picked this one up back in November at a knife show. I usually don't make the time to fill these things, but in this case, I thought I might have most of the knives already on hand. However, the display doesn't label the slots in the insert. Luckily, Larry Vickery's fine Schrades-R-Us website had a catalog cut of the display listing the contents. Turns out I was missing a couple of the knives, but they were easy enough to locate...

Geez Rob, your placeholders are nicer than my regulars!
I wonder how much extra Schrade charged to put a shield on both sidesSheild on both sides... really cool.![]()

The jack has been buffed heavily so its a place holder until I locate a nicer one. The clip on the "Molasses cracker"Rob, Im loving your posts and your Knives! you have been really climbing that peak and enjoying the fruits of your hard work.
I think I understand why you would call them placeholders as they have been cleaned?
Im loving those two knives- That Peach Seed Jack is a beautiful knife, and I feel guilty saying this as the Molasses is a cracker as well!
Real nice knives, Rob!!!A couple of used and cleaned knives, good place holders![]()
Real nice knives, Rob!!!
I like patina as much as I like ink!!!![]()
While in Atlanta I picked up this beauty pearl whittler from a friend. Can't say I know much about Schrade pearl knives but I couldnt resist the shine! And such a great pattern. Anyone with more info on this? Thanks
Charlie the closed length is 3 5/8"Rhidian - What is the length, Rhid?? Beautiful knife!!!
Schrade Pearls are more rare than other Handles!!
Thanks for looking it up Jeff. Very interestingThe earliest catalog I found this carpenter's whittler in is the 1932 supplement. In mother of pearl the number should be S8366β .
Beat me to it!! I confirm Jeff's research number - S8366 3/8 .The earliest catalog I found this carpenter's whittler in is the 1932 supplement. In mother of pearl the number should be S8366β .
