Elusive Schrades

Man Lloyd, quite a covey as Jamie said. All so nice but man that WHITTLER:eek:

WONDERFUL knives:thumbup:

Thanks my friends for the nice comments on my little group of vintage Schrades! Being able to share them with others is one of the great things about the BF traditional community:thumbup: Best, Lloyd

PS: Augie (John) I think your vision is better than mine my friend:)

These are pretty elusive, one of only two I've ever seen in the wild.

Picking my jaw up off from the floor, in total agreement with Duncan. Stellar examples. The 2OT needs no introduction but the bone on that stockman is just off the charts, not even looking like it was ever handled!

Thank you for the compliments gentlemen. The stockman is my very favorite knife, it's an 8813 which was the cut co predecessor to the 881.

I have a pretty decent SCC 881 but something was definitely lost in the translation. That 8813 is a really fine knife and understandable why it is your favorite. A nice 2OT I always thought of as a Grail knife, perhaps the bar has been raised ;)

Cut co 2464 3/4 smooth black celluloid. Cut co era swedges are the best IMO.

I found two of the ones I been looking for. A 1996 FFA OT8 And a Craftsman OT8 in SS from the 1980s both have factory edges.

Where are the pictures, dangit? Ain't you got no manners?:D

Nice knives Chunk and Luso. Here is a collection of, arguably, Schrade's mightiest knife!
The bottom 4 are Cut Cos.
I am torn between the slant bolsters or the 2-blade, as my fave!

Charlie, magnificent collection. The slant bolster is the epitome.

I am a firm believer that this 4" frame, particularly in its many stockman variations, is the greatest knife ever produced.

Is the black shadow pattern above the 881Y an 882? I've seen the shadows in yellow, but I do not recall seeing a black one.

Charlie that's a fantastic collection, you've run the whole gamut in bone variations there!

Eric
