The knife fairy left a PM in my inbox.
Told me to paddle out into the bay.
The seller had it labeled as Ka-bar.
The knife fairy told me to inspect it closely.
Just one look told me what is was.....

The elusive Camillus Necker!
Very reasonably priced and in quite great shape I might add.

Yes, but the videos on youtube make it hard for me to follow along, basically im trying to make a couple turk heads on a hawks handle....

I want to put them on here, this is mine.

OK took me a little while, but here is a fairly easy to follow YouTube video showing how to tie a "square" Turk's Head 4 lead x 5 bight on your hand:

It is. I rolled my eyes when I first saw it, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm suitably impressed. I don't give a hoot what color the handles are. It would be a simple matter to replace them.

most godawful uncomfortable handle on a knife outside a United cutlery catalog I ever used.
for a couple days I thought I'd cracked one of the bones in my little finger.
chopped nice, but so does my village parang - and it doesn't hurt to use.

Thats my favorite light EVER, cheap enough, easy to power, bright enough to light up anything a human being would need to see.

Matter a fact,, My wife is getting one, and the neck sheath for herself too. Neck sheath is so much better than in the pocket when out camping for days.

Ive heard of tons of people using shock cord on sheaths. I want to use some as a retention strap but how do you fasten/attach/melt/ whatever it?

I love the Cami sheath too... I wish I had it for my Ka-Bar version. If I was skilled at kydex I'd attempt to recreate it. Alas I am teh sucketh!
