Just collect. Haven't done it for probably 10 years now. Here's the biggest, and smallest, next to my little Buck knife:
These next two are mine and my sons first, and the story goes like this:
We went head hunting a few times by the creeks. At one particular place we went to, there was a pond fairly close to the creek. So we threw a few lines in, to see if we could catch anything while head hunting. While by the creeks, I told my son that this doesn't make sense, that if there were a camp here, it would be up on the hill, going up from the creek, where they would be away from the flooding. It was a plowed field. Sure enough, we weren't up there 10 minutes, and my son found the one on the right. His heart was beating like crazy. It was our first find. Anyone that has gone head hunting can relate similar experiences, I'm sure, about their first. Anyways, we go back and check our lines, and they were both slack. I reeled mine in, and landed a 5 lb channel cat, and my son landed a 3 pounder! So, we re-baited, and went hunting again, and I found the one on the left, my first. That was quite a day, and a story we still like to tell. We have found around 30 in this same place. My record was 7 in one day, although at another place:
