It seems it would not have originated from this side of the earth, Look at the clothes, buildings and decorations... and her daddy was suppose to be Poseidon's son..Neptune's for the romans..

And every grown man here talking little mermaid that is not a father should feel a little bit gay.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

I HAVE FINISHED POOPING

That is all.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas. And an old lawn tractor in an office building with lightning bolts painted on it.

...the zomstro looks like a beast of a chopper...

It is. I rolled my eyes when I first saw it, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm suitably impressed. I don't give a hoot what color the handles are. It would be a simple matter to replace them.

You know I have my own subforum, But crickets are churpin over there!

That's because you're always here, silly!

I blame tradewater. When I'm outside now, all I do is scan for flint.

I have a hillside on the ranch that is nothing but flint, after a heavy rain you can find hand fulls of broken arrow heads.

Here's a pic for all you guys that think Murph has it bad in my employ a TMHunt custom knives.

Where did you guys find those little tea cups? My grandma was looking for a set :D

I have never found an arrow head or a sharks tooth.... But i have looked like crazy lmao.

When im out looking i can find flint pretty easily, but an arrowhead i can not.

I can find shells for days but no shark teeth lmao

I can find peanut butter.... but no jelly

I've been out hiking / camping off and on for most of the last two weeks. Sitting at my desk, now, realizing that I have 5 days in the office is a let-down. I guess I have the fact that I'll be out in the woods again for a few days next week and bow-deer season is just around the corner.

Here's a shot my buddy took last week while we rested for a minute. He never told me when he was going to snap a shot, so no Tradewater poses, sorry.

DAMN warrior!!! You should of put a lighter or something in there for size comparison! But that is awesome! Whats the size ranges?

I need to come look in your neck of the woods!

Do you do anything with them, or just collect?

You should make some lanyards, or something with the smaller ones. They would be functional lanyards :)

I got some real bear and cougar claws headed to me and im thinking of a way to either make some lanyards or attach them to the haft of a hawk.

Just collect. Haven't done it for probably 10 years now. Here's the biggest, and smallest, next to my little Buck knife:

These next two are mine and my sons first, and the story goes like this:

We went head hunting a few times by the creeks. At one particular place we went to, there was a pond fairly close to the creek. So we threw a few lines in, to see if we could catch anything while head hunting. While by the creeks, I told my son that this doesn't make sense, that if there were a camp here, it would be up on the hill, going up from the creek, where they would be away from the flooding. It was a plowed field. Sure enough, we weren't up there 10 minutes, and my son found the one on the right. His heart was beating like crazy. It was our first find. Anyone that has gone head hunting can relate similar experiences, I'm sure, about their first. Anyways, we go back and check our lines, and they were both slack. I reeled mine in, and landed a 5 lb channel cat, and my son landed a 3 pounder! So, we re-baited, and went hunting again, and I found the one on the left, my first. That was quite a day, and a story we still like to tell. We have found around 30 in this same place. My record was 7 in one day, although at another place:

Nice ones there Warrior.. I usually only find broken or unfinished heads on the hill, I think they must have made camp there and made arrowheads and went back home.. I have found a few decent ones in other places though.. one day we will get all our stuff out of storage and I will post some pics.

Very hard to find unbroken ones. The plows break them up. Now they do no till farming, and the soil doesn't get turned over like it used to, so they're harder to find. I discovered what to look for by trial and error. Now, I can pretty much look at a place, and have a good idea if there will be any or not. Of course, I'm wrong sometimes. I was told about a place near the Illinois River, and it's in the flood plain, and there's tons of chips there. Definitely a "knapping station". You're right, that's what they would do. Designate a place to knap, to keep the chips in the same place, as they were sharp and would cut your feet.

BTW, it's a little known fact that I found the first stone age Becker as well:

I believe to be made by none other than Ethan's great, great..............great grandfather, Atook Becker. And such polish back then too. :D
