Is everything OK with the boss man? I haven't seen him post since before the last gathering. Unless someone knows otherwise I am going to assume he had a little too much Argentinian peyote and is now working in Utah driving a bus under the name Carl Brigham trying to avoid the sex trafficking ring he narrowly escaped.

The boss is fine, I talked to him yesterday. He said he was going to be returning to the world today-ish, just had a lot of things to get together when he got back from Oregon and whatnot.

Great story though.

One of my Becker pics is now the cover photo on the BK&T Facebook page. Head over and submit more! I think I was the only one to reply with a photo...

Yeah someone was saying that Becker needs to make a tool to sharpen their tools. I mentioned one of the best tools I know to keep a Becker sharp, an Arkansas Stone.

1066vik gifted my wife a Breeden necker. It came in today, and she was grinning ear to ear opening it up. Sweet freakin' blade man, she/we love it. Razor sharp. She walked right around the house, and got a maple stick, and made her first fuzzy with it. She had seen me do it before, but never tried it herself. Here's how she did. Thanks brother, she/we appreciate that very much. You're a hell of a good guy. BTW, I took the photo on some birch bark he also sent:

Thanks again man, I owe ya big time. I'm taking her to the store in a few for butter, for the cookies.

In the Atlanta airport, all out of phase for Blade. Oh well.

Warrior, I need a pic of an onion mixed with a gun. We will call it, "gunion"...

*Insert nefarious cackling here*

Hey Dubz, while you're at it, could you whip up a pic of a penis mixed with a Mexican?

Vik is a hell of a guy, that's no new news here. hes givin me some of the coolest gifts I got. (Still using the hell out of that hatchet E) But what is the burch bark for?

Todd, birch bark is great for tinder -- it flakes apart in sheets and takes a spark nicely.
it also has some oils in it that make it somewhat water repellent so you can use it on the bottom of your fire prep to keep other tinder/shavings dry.

Dubs - good to hear it got there so quick and that she's not feeling left out any more. :D

Well, thanks again brother, we appreciate it. She's in there now makin' ya some cookies. We should be mailing them out tomorrow.

I hate to sound like a friggin' lightweight, but I can't abide modern martini glasses. Traditionally, martini glasses were in the 3-5 oz. range. Now everything you find is freakin' 10 oz. Big Gulp drink size. If I make a normal 3 oz. martini (that's 2-3 shots of gin or vodka), I have to lean over the rim of my current glass and peer into the depths in order to see the alcohol. Who the hell drinks a 9-10 oz. martini? Alcoholics? Bowery Bums? Depressed soccer moms? Anyway, I finally located some cheap 3 oz. "mini" (yeah, now they call them mini) glasses at Pier 1, and I ordered six of the sumbitches. Going to pick them up tomorrow. Wish I could find some vintage 3-4 oz. versions in crystal.

Lightweight rant over. Carry on.
