Embark on a new snark

1066vik gifted my wife a Breeden necker. It came in today, and she was grinning ear to ear opening it up. Sweet freakin' blade man, she/we love it. Razor sharp. She walked right around the house, and got a maple stick, and made her first fuzzy with it. She had seen me do it before, but never tried it herself. Here's how she did. Thanks brother, she/we appreciate that very much. You're a hell of a good guy. BTW, I took the photo on some birch bark he also sent:

Thanks again man, I owe ya big time. I'm taking her to the store in a few for butter, for the cookies.
I have one of those, and my mom does as well. We got the no scales and just wrapped them in paracord. It's a GREAT little knife. Your wife will be very happy with it I'm sure.

Starting to trickle back toward home. Staying in a game lodge in Carson, SD tonight. I'm going to miss Montana, but it's a long damn way from Barlow.

Damn these smell good. The redolence is permeating the entire house:

trade, I hope y'all still have some spry left. Glad you haven't been "et by a bar" so far.

What knife is that Dubz?

I was to slow leaving my boss's place tonight and ended up right smack dab in the middle of a North Dakota traffic jam tonight.

Sounds like a great roadtrip Trade. Drive safely!

Almost got ran over twice today, on my bike. First time somebody slammed on the gas and rear ended a pickup just as my rear wheel cleared his front bumper (this was at a red light, so it's not like I cut him off or anything) Second time some lady was too busy talking on her phone to notice me crossing in front of her car ( at a stop sign, the guy in front was pulling out into a street I was between them.) Then she yelled "WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING" along with a few other things. If she didn't have some crazy buff guy in the passenger seat I would have been more inclined to yell a few other things besides to get the hell off your phone you dumb bi**h

Finally, beer concentrate for backpacking. Just add water and carbonate!

Somebody beat them to it, I read about it a couple years ago in Outside magazine. Still though, options are good! I carry a 6pack or whiskey in my overnight pack.

Hey Dubz, while you're at it, could you whip up a pic of a penis mixed with a Mexican?

Will you accept Polaroids?

Vik is a hell of a guy, that's no new news here. hes givin me some of the coolest gifts I got. (Still using the hell out of that hatchet E) But what is the burch bark for?

Ditto!

If you somehow misread the GPS and end up this way, stop in. We've a concrete pig in the yard you can tame!

When I was living in Oak Park and working downtown I got hit by a cop. It was snowing really bad and he came around the corner and just slid into me. Knocked me down but nothing worse, I landed in a snow bank. Still it was pretty funny. I couldn't really imagine it if I was on a bike and the car was actually GOING.

Todd, birch bark is great for tinder -- it flakes apart in sheets and takes a spark nicely.

That it does. Got mine yesterday, although I won't setting any of it on fire - at least not on purpose. Thank you very much!

By the time you get to the bottom of a 10 oz. cocktail, the drink has warmed to room temperature.
True. However, since my favorite cocktail consists of bourbon, mixed with bourbon, and a cube or two of ice and a splash of bourbon, by the time I get to the bottom I do not care :D

In other news, it was a good night in the exchange for me yesterday. Pop's is going to be getting a rather sizable order from me very soon... yayyy! I love fresh grinding belts!

you're welcome - if you end up needing more -- or just some scraps for firestarting, let me know.
and congrats on the sales - I'm actually surprised #c is still there.

Thanks! I can't find any rhyme or reason to what sells when and why. In between custom stuff I just run whatever I've got handy up the flagpole and see who salutes. It all finds a home eventually ;)
