Embark on my CRK journey.....

Ice man, I'm blown away by the beauty of these. The Annuals, the Damascus, the Regs... Wow!

That Amboyna Burl Damascus Annual has me speechless. Thatk you for the great pics of it.

BTW, what is the story with the large hole in your special Regular next to the lanyard pin hole? And the LDC109-4 under the pivot? Very interesting...

Thanks for the kind words. I am still over the moon over these Annuals. The 2006 Amboyna w/ Raindrop is probably my most favorite out of all my Sebenzas right now. I still couldn't believe that I caught one such magnificent ad beautiful piece.

As for the LDC Sebenza, I am not too well versed on its history. However, I read up a little about it since I was interested in them when I saw it for the first time.

I believe the LDC109 Sebenza was designed for and sold exclusively by Robertson Custom Cutlery and were limited to 50pcs (not sure if both Large & Small or of each).

LDC stands for "Line of Departure/Line of Contact", which I believe is an army terminology. Should have been LD/LC, but I guess they decided to just use LDC for simplicity.

The most noticeable design for the LDC Sebenzas are the grooved lines, extra hole, and the accent top grind on the blade.

As for the extra large hole.. this is all the explanation I could find.. Quoted from Anne's post on one of the forums:

"It is simply a hole to reduce the weight, fill in - or rather empty out - the space there! Anne".

Seriously, dude. Wallpaper porn. Thank you for these pics!!!!

Thank you blade man.. I have got it on my iPhone's lock screen and been staring on it from time to time... :D

Another awesome piece :)

I wonder if in 20 years from now your collection along with some of the other larger ones can form the display at the CRK museum.

Lol. A CRK Museum would be awesome.. but for now, maybe a CRK fanatics gathering might be doable... I wonder if any of you guys are attending the biggest knife shows in the US? Maybe we can arrange like a meeting for all the CRK enthusiast and collectors? That would probably be an awesome day just looking and fondling CRK knives...

Can I be the curator for the UG's section?

I'd like to sign-up for the Annual collection section... :)

If that happens I want my name somewhere, you can borrow some of my crks.
I'll even donate a few pieces to the museum . :) I can't have enough of crks.

Dude, lol.. your name should be under "Rare Finds" section... :) Also, I'd love to indeed borrow some of those CRKs... :)

Gorgeous collection of Damascus Iceman !!!!!
So, I gotta ask, what's next in your hunt???? Maybe a bronzed spirograph, man, that would be sweet and compliment what you have now. ;)

The damascus on the large regular is phenomenal! Never seen that pattern...looks like a ladder pattern?
