After you use an emerson for a while at least I can't tell a difference. Some people say tilt the blade 10 degrees or whatever to cut , whatever the knife cuts.
Been buying and using emersons for a long time now. As far as the grind question goes there are folders on the market with the grinds on the other side. A certain custom makers does all his knives in chisel with the grind reversed and it just doesnt look as nice.
I bought an iron dragon because my thought was "hell yes" an emerson with a framelock, bearings , steel lock bar insert torque screws finally!
Get the knife and it's a nice nice knife don't get me wrong ,but it just didn't feel like my other emersons. There's a reason why Mr. E doesnt deviate from what works. To me it's like they almost have a soul. An emerson just doesn't feel like an emerson without my Philips screws, linerlock and that grind.
Not bashing the iron dragon at all. Just saying when I think of emersons I think of emersons the way they always have been. I carry them because I don't mind getting them scratched up ,and I'm not afraid to use it.
