In what way is the emerson a superior knife? Just like to know.

It's more expensive and Emerson do not make videos.

Not a slam at Emerson, I've been looking for a decent used 7 for a year now, but from what I read they do not come close to Kershaw and Spyderco in fit, finish and quality. Cold Steel may be a braggart, but they do what their mouth says.

Their videos have been discussed many times on BF and though they use it for marketing dont think other companies dont do the same things to their knives behind closed doors.

My point was that those videos are plenty convincing and a good marketing tactic. If other companies choose not to market their wares in a similar way is obviously their choice.

Yes, the newer ones are made in Taiwan, only the very old model (Zytel Handle with liners) was made in Japan.
