So far I have a 7, and idk why I like it because I cant stand serrations, mini commander should be arriving tomorrow and a 10 looks tempting

I hear you Swampshooter. My standard 7 was Everything I Didn't want in my 7. Black and serrated. The black wasn't that bad but the serrations really bothered me. Not anymore. Actually I don't think I use......yep - I did cut up some parachord but other than that ...I haven't used my serrations.

But between the edge that Is there and the tanto tip......I will have to say that The7 has been earning His keep. Love it.

RiverRat84 sent a package my way to check out...in it was a po'boy 7 and Gypsy Jack.

Took this pic before I left for work, 7 in the pocket.

Hey - I forgot to ask you. What about the GJ? It looks so " out there " that it would have to be cool to handle. What's your take on that piece? :-D. And how does it cut?!?!

I think Mr. Emerson summed it up best: You either love it or hate it.

It's very different from his other designs. I'm fond of it, but it's a huge knife (almost 10" open). A lot of the handle sticks out of the pocket as well. It's definitely worth checking out. Ergos aren't the greatest, the 15 fits my hand the best but it still feels very comfortable in hand.

As for my take on it. Well, it's very light for its size, awesome balance point right around the pivot. Waves nicely, and it's very narrow until you get farther down the blade where it swells. To be honest the handle is the narrowest I've ever seen on an Emerson. I was expecting it to be much wider but it's not.

As for the cutting ability, the handle positions the blade in a downward sweep so it performs like the 15 and commander recurves. There is a very light recurve, it's almost non existent. I haven't done very much cutting with it because it's not my blade but my initial impressions are that I love it. I'll post some pics when I get back from hanging out with some friends who just graduated.

Cool. Thanks.

OK Now. Breaking out the heavy Artillery. I am just learning about how all these models came to be. It is extremely interesting. Actually I have started reading this Emerson subforum from the very beginning, I average reading roughly 4-6 pages give or take every day. Thanks for sharing that pic. I appreciate the history that piece speaks of.

Yeah, I second Lycosa. The Specwar-B is great looking knife. That tan is really nice and sets off the black blade and hardware. Thanks.

I love the handle grip on the specwar as it is exactly the same as my CQC-11 (I think) which is my all time favorite Emerson grip.

I would own on in a second if only you could get one with the wave feature.

I had an old old Benchmade/emerson back in the day and loved it. I was really liking the design of the CQC15 so it is now in the rotation. This is my first Emerson and I am loving it. I wish the standoffs were a bit bigger though they seem kind of small for a 4" blade.

MiniCom on board today, first thing to unseat the Nath-Horseman since it arrived. I am super impressed by the MiniCom, that is one awesome knife. Definitely gonna' have to send one abroad.
