Emerson EDC, What's Yours?

Y'all need a Bandito. Pointy lil knife. Mean and small. Great design and wouldn't give mine up for any knife out there.

I use an Emerson Commander as a work knife. Personally, I think it is ugly as homemade sin. But i 'll be dammed if it doesn't work well. I really hate this knife, but that is actually a good thing because I don't muck about with it, I abuse the hell out of it. Prying, cutting copper wire, I have even used it to pry out a couple nails. I keep telling myself I will switch to a better looking knife when it fails. Still waiting....

Love this statement. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I absolutely love the journeyman. The blade shape and overall design look like it's just good for everything. How do you like it compared to all the other ones you have?

The hollow V-grind makes it an excellent slicer & cutter, and I've also made it a true V-grind by putting a bevel on the other side (don't need no stinkin' warranty). It is on the heavy side though, as the handle is pretty long on this design, relative to the blade. Great ergos though, and the liners are pretty thick on both sides of this 2013 model.

Didn't take you long to polish the screws.

I just replaced the screws with stainless ones that I purchased in bags of 50 or 100. Luckily there is a belt sander attachment on the shop grinder at my work. I use that to clean up the hacksaw cut on the longer screws. Looks great the way it is with silver hardware. I'm going to see if I can grind a curve into a "blank" pocketclip I have that follows the contour of the handle better than the stock one. Debating to make new scales for it or not. Can't wait to see what your Gypsy Jack will look like!
