This journeyman is in great condition and has been carried by me only around the house. I'm pretty sure I took it apart and relubed the knife along with tightening the pivot, It was a loose enough to flick open smoothly but had a little bit of detectable side to side play when kept that loose. Tightened it up and now It's much more solid, I think if you hold the blade at the top and really torque it side to side you can get a little wobble out of it but you really have to intentionally try for that. It does sit slightly off center due to how I like the pivot tightened however it opens smoothly and locks up solid around 60-70% I'd say. Got this LNIB and I would say it's still at that condition and comes with both the skull and standard clip. However I did notice that the first backspacer down seems to be slightly shorter than the rest and you can see a little bit of space between the spacer and the liner. To me this isn't an issue (but full disclosure) because I ordered a spare pivot from emerson and asked for a new spacer and screw due to me over-tightening on my CQC-7 and they included a standoff with screws for no cost (although I did have to request the standoff).
NO SERRATIONS, only looking to trade for things in good condition or better.
I'm really looking for other emersons, however I also like other brands with sizes ranging from 3"-4.5" for a folder. Like ZT (no 056x or 055x) and Spyderco, not huge on Benchmade or Cold steel but who knows, a sull size XHP recon 1 + cash could change my mind. Very interested in Bali's (maybe a BM 51 or 62T) or if you have a Darrel ralph mid tech bali I will add cash as this is top of the list, Even something like Mil-tac breeden bali would be good. Also willing to trade for fixed blades, either pocket sized or large (5"+), not huge into autos but may consider. Please post here and EMAIL offers including usernames.
