Emerson "lethal Edge" pocket clips

Walt:

The chances of me using a knife to defend myself are slim to none. I have been taking martial arts for 10 years and a knife would only get in my way. The only way I would even consider it is if someone pulled a gun. And even then, pulling a knife and opening it would be a waste of critical time. I agree, using a knife for self defence will get you in alot of trouble skull or no skull. I'm not stupid and I don't need a criminal lawyer, to me a knife is a tool not a weapon. Believe me, I stay out of trouble and will go to great lenghts to avoid a confrontation. Even if someone pulled a knife on me, it would be easier to kick the thing out of his hand or run away, I don't intend the knife to protect myself. I just like the way the skull looks.

Arkhamdrifter:
If I had to face a judge regarding my skull clip, I would do something that always works well for me when dealing with those in the law enforcement business. I would tell the truth. I collect knives for a hobby. I had a chance to purchase a custom made limited edition clip from a popular knife maker. I knew these wouldn't last long, I ordered two but only got one. I didn't buy it to make a statement, I bought it because it is a novelty. I have no evil intensions and I am not making an sinister gesture. No harm no foul. I hope his decision would be based on the circumstances of the incident and not on the decorations. If use of the knife was within the scope of legal self defense, I would be innocent, skull or no skull. Likewise, if I made a bad judgement, I would be guilty. Would the skull hurt me or make my sentence longer? I beleive not if I told the truth. The truth is that custom pieces from Ernie are rare and very collectable. That would not be hard to prove.
