Thanks !Factor . Where did you get that thumb disc ? Very cool
How the heck does a guy score a tiger? I just picked up my first Emerson cqc-10. Should have it by Thursday. But the one Emerson that really turns me on is the Tiger. But not made anymore and don't see them come for sale very often. Any suggestions where I might look to grab one?

I had all three variants from back then. The first two, the Tiger SF and Tiger BT, were single detent (lockbar only). The third, a Tiger OD, was traditional Emerson dual detent. The brand new one I handled today, a SF, was not only a single detent, but also had a bearing pivot.Too bad they weren’t available like 5 years ago when I wanted one. No hating here I’m a fan of Ernest but it seems the brand has gone stagnant. I hope he has brilliant ideas for the future.
Let us know man.Pulled the trigger on another Tiger and mine should be here early next week .
Wanted another either way but very much looking forward to the new bearing pivot
Either way even if it doesn’t have one I’m good since I like the old school pivot to but a different flavor would be nice .
Still blows my mind that Emerson didn’t mention it if truly it does .
Sure will and it’s looking like MondayLet us know man.
Great news! Mine should be here today I hope . Does yours have bearings or bushings for the pivot?Just picked up a new tiger. Fit and finish are first rate. Blade is perfectly centered, lockup is very solid. The lock sticks a bit, bit it's a new knife, so it just needs to wear in a bit.
I was a bit nervous, as some folks out there criticize Emerson's build quality, but I am very, very satisfied with this knife.
If I ever get off work lol and get home !Lets see some pics![]()
Ok finally got home and opened her up .
Perfect example , smoothest action out of the box with any Emerson I’ve owned and I’ve had some nice ones . Prefect blade centering with just a touch of traditional Emerson lock stick but I like the little click lol .
I asked for a low serial # with a requested few but didn’t get those as I knew it was a shot in the dark but had to ask lol. GP knives did send me a relatively low number considering .
I got number c194
My only disappointment was the box was missing half the flap on one side and was torn off .They took a rubber band wrapped it around the box to try and hold the knife in box . Which didn’t work and it just smashed the box even more and the knife was loose in the shipping box wrapped in the Emerson plastic bag and some packing peanuts with the Emerson literature and sticker also loose in the shipping box.Definitely disappointed with these business practices or lack of care in packaging if you will . Definitely won’t be doing business with GP knives again that’s for sure .
But guess I’m fortunate the knife is a great example and didn’t get damaged during shipping.
Anyway love the knife and to the pictures![]()
