Empty Your Pockets, Belts, Manbags, Etc

Lets keep it mostly to pockets fellas:)

We all have our philosophies on what we choose to carry. A spirited exchange is fine and very welcome. I just do n't want things to go south is all. Carry on, friends:)

1. On top is my psychedelic duct tape wallet. It has been repaired so it is mostly black this week but that could change anytime depending on how much Khukri money I got.
2. My KLVUK: left of wallet. I dont usually edc it but yesterday i did so here it is. Stuffed it left behind and under my belt. Was actually pretty comfortable.
3. Chapstick...Hmmm forgot that.
4. Glock 30 .45 Cal sub compact. duty rnds (was Ruger LCP w/CT laser before the fire). Paddle holster so I dont have to mess with a belt.
5. Keys to Big arse Lincoln Mark VIII 300+hp SCT 8 bank chipped. Custom program. 14 sec. 1/4 mile (bracket racer/every day driver). Hastings triplet 14x magnifier for pickin blackberry spines from my feet., home made glock dissasembly tool. removes pins. also works for Ruger LCP., Photon torpedo LED piece of crap that navy seals supposedly use? 7. Kagas Katne for when pants pockets are too short for Christmas knife.

Not all if this is on my person- the glock is a bag gun, unless something particularly festive is happening. Ditto the hu die dao at top.

kages katne seem pretty universal as stand by pocket knives
Yep they fit really nice in the front pocket because they are bent. I would love to own an hi karambit or one like in jws avatar! The ring would be cool for quick draw.

Well just to get my feet wet. Here are a few I carry/carried. I will post a better pic of whats in my pockets later. First pic was my EDC for work and my primary off duty pistol. I was privileged to carry a Glock 18 by my Chief, he and I were the only ones that could carry them in my Dept, possibily the entire state. My OD is the model 36, slim line 45 cal great little pistol. Since retiring unfortunately I had to give the 18 back :grumpy: so now I carry the 36 and recently I picked up a Walther PPS in 9mm, I love this little pistol and now between the two I have a nice little rotation.

Glock 18  everytiime I see a pic of that thing it gives my chicken skin! That must be fun to shoot! It looks just like a g22 cept that little unassuming switch! To bad it had to go!

I can tell ya it was a blast to shoot, but a bit of a learning curve for it. I had a few guys I worked with stand it right up and over the berm, very funny to see the look on there face. I have a quick video shooting off an 18rd mag if I can figure out how to load it I will. Click on the vid, not the best quality but you will get the message.

NICE glock 18, how much of a pain is it to get the permit for it? and now post up some 500yrd footage since we see on your tag you are USMC, i wanna see some good old fashion marksmanship, comeon you know you wanna:P

The 18 was purchased through my Dept. We actually purchased two, one for me and one for the Chief. As a PD we can purchase automatic weapons for dept use. Funny I actually still have my range book from boot camp and shows my scores from the 500 meter line, I can tell you it is pretty darn far.

thats so coooool

Ohh yeah

Place I worked in the sandbox had a visiting 18-they are pretty challenging at first.
One of the South Africans I worked with pulled it in tight and turned it 90 degrees, ejection port up. Kinda the way the Chinese used the schnellfeuer mauser '96's. At least that way it was kinda horizontal spread, which could be useful under certain (grim) circumstances.
I just kept forgetting which selector setting was which.

anyone can own a fully automatic if you are willing to buy a preban transferable full auto! ( i am still saving up 23k for a thompson)-- great posts great thread

Your right there they are challenging for sure, I had a lot of trigger time on that pistol for sure and was able to keep all rounds mostly center mass out to about 5 yards or so. Most folks think its easy to keep em all in at such close range, but brother its hard as you know shooting one. I wish I would have tried the 90 degree turn. The switch can do that to ya but it only take one or two times to remember:thumbup:

We had an 18 to play with for a bit also. It was definitely a challenge. It was fun.

The M14's on full auto are something to hang on to also unless your moon hunting. They like to climb some.

... I've read that when you do find yourself getting mugged or whatever, your adrenaline is going to be pumping so hard that you won't have the wherewithal to use whatever you have on you for protection. So it's sort of useless unless you're trained to use it and just let your reflexes take over.

A counterpoint to ponder. The adrenaline response evolved for a reason. Elements like the subjective slowing of time, hypersensitivity of senses, enhanced sense of flow, and the ability to exert effort unhindered by opposing muscle groups all operate independently of repetitive training and conditioned reflexes. It is remarkable that so many people lack the ability to effectively utilize this state.

I have found tai chi practice effective in understanding the adrenaline state. Many tai chi practitioners look at me blankly when I mention this.

bawanna, the HK G3a3 ia a real " moon hunter" 800 rpm and 7.62 nato on a composite chassis. single, 3rd burst, full auto modes.

it is like the browning BAR, the mere sight of it scares most people.
