End the Mystery... the Grab Bag image thread!

My birthday is on the 22nd, however I have a family member that wants to watch me open them that I won't be able to see until the 24th. But yeah, that's why I'm not opening them yet. Plus the anticipation is a lot of fun.:)

I bet you won't make it til the 24th,:D but if you do, you have more will power than I can fathom.

We will see. Honestly I'm scared I'm gonna lose these packages and be forever cursed to never know what was inside.
Could have been the only TGLBLE...
Still might be...
How about we all find out tonight? Just tape them back closed, we won't tell.

I sort of buggered myself. I ordered the Dog Soldier and the grab bag at the same time. I know I could call and ask them to split the order and pay shipping twice. Which is tempting, I will not lie. However, I know they're super busy and need to practice patience anyways.

It'll just be extra cool when I get the package. One knife I specifically wanted and ??? that I'm sure I will love. Two weeks from now it will be a good day!

:)

I ordered both at the same time too. If you paid for the GB they'll send it first.

Sweet! That's pretty frickin' awesome of them if that's the case. And if not, no worries! I'm still a happy man who's living in a caravan!

Nice haul Murman. Every time I read your handle, I think of Bad Santa. hehehe

Murman!

I'm sorry you didn't get the Gladius you so desired. I share your burning thirst for that double-edged Roman badassness.

That being said, I would contend you still came out a winner.

Real sweet CS pieces, a Huck, a HNWS, a cleaver, AND A F*#&IN' SCRAPIVORE, not to mention a Rodent Trail with an excellent color combo and the other goodies. BUT THAT SCRAPIVORE!

That's a...Rodent 3? With...looks like stabilized wood handles? It's SR101 unless specified INFI, or am I wrong here?

That Busse CS piece is cool as ice; looks like...burl handles? I LOVE the orange-filled pins/handle liner/handle combo. That is spot-on class right there. That's a what, MS of some kind? I'm still perfecting my eye for Busse/kin models. I'm not exactly at my sharpest here; half a bottle of tequila in, took me all of 13 tries to log in.

I'm happy for you man, Gladius notwithstanding.

We'll get them Gladii eventually.

A huck?! I've been dreaming of a busse kukri. Didn't know any modern ones existed. I remember my days growing up on the farm with a cold steel kukri (one of the old, good ones) strapped to my hip. I would kill for a busse kukri.

I think the swamp rat custom may be pink ivory.

Ok, I'm not trying to disagree for the sake of disagreement, and I love you Murman, but ivory?

If I understand correctly, unless you've got pre-ban ivory in stock, you ain't slingin' ivory in the U.S. or in most (uh, civilized?) countries unless it's through unscrupulous dealings as a result of poaching.

I seriously doubt Busse would be pumping out ivory handles; that is to say, unless they legitimately have pre-ban ivory in stock, and even at that we're talking some pretty inhumane harvesting practices to yield that material.

I'm thinking either wood or bone; it looks like some pretty fine grain. I've said a few times, I'm learning; I'm not a pro here like many other hogs who would be of better use identifying it, but I'd wager there's no way on this side of the Western Hemisphere that's ivory. I'm sorry, it just...the bio-geo-political issues are just too great. No way.
