End the Mystery... the Grab Bag image thread!

Pretty sure you can get mammoth and ancient walrus ivory from Russia and northern NA, it's not terribly expensive either

On Custom shop items with Organic handles Busse/Kin will also use Dyed Camel Bone. There are Laws regulating the Transfer and ownership of Ivory in the US regardless of Pre-Ban vs Post-Ban. Very few if any makers will touch Elephant Ivory due to legalities.

Mammoth Ivory is still widely used and has fewer restrictions however it baffles me than some people believe these creatures still exist...its clear to me those people don't DRINK ENOUGH...:eek::eek:

Warthog tusk/ivory is another form of ivory used as well (don't know I have seen a Busse in it off the top of my head).

On the question of "does Swamp Rat Custom = INFI", the answer is not always, and most likely not. I have a satin SRKW CS that is verified SR101, and unless marked INFI, as on the INFIDU's I would assume it is SR101. SRKW LE's can come in different steels including D2 (vex), 154CM (hairy carry) and likely more. I would assume with no other indication that a CS SRKW is SR101, and verify with shop to be 100% certain.

Same concept applies to SYKW although I have much less experience wit' dat Yard outside of INFI War Dogs and a 154CM SYKW I can't remember what model (3.5-4" blade)

This is based on limited experience and ownership of one of each of aforementioned knife types/steels.

There is certainly more info more experienced Hogs can add as well.

I can no longer do Cocobolo due to allergic reaction to the oils...Sux cuz it's a great looking and finishing naturally oily hardwood.

Does not look like most pink ivory. Is the wood oily and very dense? If so, probably purple heart.

Fixed it for you--and if you were drinking enough, you would already know where pink ivory comes from--pink elephants, obviously.

But Not Pink Mammoths we ate those already...somebody said they taste like BACON:D:D

I've heard claims of Pink Elephants materializing from the Vapors of Alcoholic Elixirs...Must Investigate further...

Try this:

But that might not be out for another month or so. You might have to make due with Delirium Tremens.
Or Nocturnum.
Doesn't matter; they're all good.
And they'll all have you seeing pink elephants.
