How do you like the 1084 Daizee? I made a few out of it but they sold before I had a chance for me or Murph to get some field time with em.

I like it a lot. Perhaps more for what it is than for it's particular performance. It's dead-easy to heat-treat reliably, unlike 1095, and it's ridiculously affordable. I use Aldo's exclusively, which is "juiced" (his term) for grain refinement over simple 1084. I forget the actual chemistry difference - it's minor, but important apparently. He gets it custom smelt in Germany.

It takes that wonderful fine carbon steel edge. Doesn't hold it quite like O1, but it's really a pleasure to use and maintain. Like any good spring steel, I bet it would make great choppers.

Got back from the Seahawaks game.
Clinched a playoff birth tonight!
I'm soaked, cold, tired, and I'm pretty sure my voice will be gone in the morning.

I enjoyed that game from the luxury of my fantasy football app on my phone, I have Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch on my team. They tore it up! Jealous that you got to see it in person.
