Engraving Anyone? – Some Examples

David - can you confirm whether Valerio Peli (the engraver) is part of Creative Arts?

Thanks,

JD

Thought this piece definitely belonged in this thread too along will all the other great examples of knives enhanced by masterful engraving.

This is what Reinhart wrote regarding your question, Joss.
I cut the part with his compliments about my books....... :)

Valerio Peli is working in a team with the name Creative Art. Every
engraver specializes in a different design, animals and so on.
Look at www.creativeart.it . Valerio Peli is very good in
complicated ornaments. Their adress is:

All the best,

Here's one that struck me as it's a little away from Julie's normal style. She has a broad range of talent to say the least.

Thank you very much David!

I've recently received the last knives of a 25 knife set, wherein each knife has a different animal deep relief engraved by Bruce Shaw. This set has been almost 5 years in the making and is presently being photographed by Coop.

In the not-too-distant future I hope to be able to share photos of the set with you. I am planning on doing the story behind the set and submitting the story and the photos to a major knife publication in the hopes they will wish to run the story and photos.

This set will be displayed point down along a shelf in my built-in display, and the two Bark Ivory knives will be the "outer" knives with the two somewhat 'Tan" knives next and then the Inner Ivory knives. The Center piece (the larger knife) is a "Polar Bear".

The Animal list (OK one is an Eagle!) is:
Whitetail Deer; Mule Deer; Elk; Moose; Pronghorn Antelope; Bison; Bighorn Sheep; Dall Sheep; Mountain Goat; Caribou; Coyote; Wolf; Black Bear; Alaskan Brown Bear; Grizzly Bear; Polar Bear; Lynx; Mountain Lion; Eagle; African Lion; Jaguar; Rhino; Elephant; Water Buffalo; Siberian Tiger.
Del

Here's my own feeble attempt to show the set:

Nice - I think the grizzly and brown bear are the same species (the grizzly is a subspecies)

What a great project Del. Thanks for sharing.
D is very fortunate to have collectors such as Betzner and yourself.
