Hi all, I figure that there are a few of us into flashlights, and I haven't seen a dedicated thread here, so feel free to post pics of your lights or any other kind of illumination that you use. Here a a few pics of my stuff:

Left to right: Fenix TK45 (760 lumens), Fenix PD35 (960 Lumens) & Fenix TK15 (400 lumens)

The first one I brought was the TK15, which I also have mounts for my rifle scope and a pressure switch. I then got the TK45 and was surprised when I saw the movie 'Prometheus' as the flashlight was featured quite a bit throughout (although it would have been an antique in reality :)). I brought the PD35 earlier this year and it is the best of the lot I personally think.

So what do you all like to use?

You should look up the, though oddly named, still oddly affective, pukelight. It uses the tk45 body, and although it does produce a "white light", I still find it to look a bit purple-ish... I do not have a quality light yet, but have been combing over them a lot recently.
Aside from the pd35 are there any you would suggest as stand outs among the crowd?

I used to have a large flashlight collection that I sold off and kept only these four:

Left to Right: Surefire C3 with M2 head and Z48 tailcap, Surefire A2YG, L3 illumination High CRI, Lummi Orb Raw NS

I still prefer incandescent light, especially in the forest where LEDs have poor color rendition and you can lose depth of field.

The C3 has a 9volt lamp so it can interchange between rechargables (2x17500) or primaries (3x123A) with the same bulb. It is my go-to light and feels amazing in the hand. The M2 head has the shock resistant feature and the Z48 tailcap is a forward clicky. I also have the stock head and tailcap in mint condition.

The A2 is the "old" incandescent version with 3 yellow-green LED's for low level illumination / protecting night vision.

The L3 illumination High CRI is an amazing little LED that shows how they are closing the gap on full spectrum incandescents. It is equipped with a Nichia high Color Rendering Index LED and it looks very close to incandescent. Its beam has a yellow, instead of blue or purple tint. It shows reds, yellows, and browns in full color instead of a greyed out bluish wash. Highly portable and runs on 1xAA. Four levels from "firefly" to pretty darned bright!

The Lummi Raw Orb is so tiny that I forgive the harsh "cool" light from its CREE led. Dissapears in the pocket and it has 2 levels, the higher level being surprisingly bright for such a small light.

I was a flashlight addict for almost 10 years before I could stop buying new lights. I was pretty lucky, however, and sold off my collection for more than I had paid for it.

Everyone should have a good knife and a good light! Or two!

Eric

This is a timely post since I'm looking into getting my first serious flashlight. The Fenix pd35 seems to be really popular and highly recommended. I'm planning on obtaining a Thrunite Archer 2a because it uses regular old AA batteries and is more in my price range for first light.

Most of my experience has been with Fenix so far, the TK15 is a good flashlight, I am quite fond of mine. I've heard LED Lensor are good too, but I've personally never used one.

OK, here is what I have:

In no particular order. They all get used.

Surefire Executive Elite (circa 2004)

Streamlight Stylus Pro (with the USB charger)

Streamlight Microstream

I have more lights, but those three gets used the most

In my opinion, every knife needs a light.
Here are a few of mine, in largely random order:

EDC on my keychain: Prometheus / Darksucks Beta QR

Thrunite Ti. Gave this particular one away, but have several more. Good light, and I like it better than my Fenix LD01, but a few steps below the Beta.

Maratac AA Cu

Maratac AAA SS

Absolutely love this one. McGizmo SunDrop XRU

Liked it until I killed it swimming: Xeno E03

EDC: HDS EDC Clicky HCri

For a while, before I got the Beta QR, EDC was the HDS and Ti

Crappy old pic of a bunch: Couple MagLites, Tiablo A7, EagleTac P20C2 MKII (Great 2-CR123 light!), Maratac AAA SS, Fenix LD01, LuminTop Terminator TD15X, SureFire 6P.

SureFire G2z

FourSevens Preon2 (Have several editions of this guy)

SolarForce L2P

PhotonFanatic Groovy!

EagleTac D25C Clicky. If I didn't have the HDS and McGizmo, THIS would be my EDC. Was for quite a while, actually, and it's just a fantastic production light.

Maratac Cu123

Size comparison of a bunch of single-cell lights

Streamlight MicroStream. I knew I had an ExoTac XL! Couldn't find it at BeckerWest. I'll take another look tomorrow.

Would like to EDC this, but I can't stick the 24 in a pocket out here, and it really wouldn't do to have it on my belt.

FiveMega Full Copper UltraCool body with Mac's Triple light engine, Cryos head and Triad Standoff tail.

There are surely others.
I'm pretty happy with what I've got, so I haven't been hanging around CPF much lately. But if you really want to see flashlights, that's the place to be.

Some great looking flashlights and watches too! I might have to start a watch thread, you guys have some great taste in timepieces.

These are my 2 babies which i carry with me most of the time while moving around or at work.

I have a lot more flashlights but mainly Surefires.

I have a Fenix PD31 & and E01 (not pictured) that I EDC. The PD31 has served me well for the last three years but I've been planning to upgrade to the 2014 PD35 soon.

I have a copper maratac AAA on the way. I'll throw up a pic when it gets here.

I don't have any fancy flashlights, but I see how useful they'd be, perhaps some day I will when I can afford them.

Awesome pictures.

Dun need fancy expensive or high lumen.

I go for lower lumen but longer running time.

Effectively, anything around 50 to 200 lumen is already very decent

Ethan hates flashlights :D

can't go wrong with fenix :D

i like many of the jetbeam models (the old ones)

i guess this days, i'd have to check with my favorite vendor of lights (GG) and see what's going on...

best bang for buck, is a flashlight using a rechargeable lithium, single, and around 500 lumens, edc, imho

i've got a 1500+ and 2000+ and they're cute, but "so not practical"

the 800+ lumen Jetbeam is lovely, and i use it EVERYDAY at home. wish i had 10 of them (and batteries)

Here's my Halloween carry, brought out my old Maglite in case one of the kids lost theirs and needed one. In my BK11 kit is an inova XS but now that Fenix has released the LD02 (rei exclusive) this most likely will come out of the kit and go to one of the kids.

These are my EDC lights
The LD12 is my primary EDC and is always on me, the rest all live in my various EDC bags that make up my tiered system (all lights are 100 lumen or better)
What can I say? I seek illumination

I'm pretty basic when it comes to lights (probably too basic). Don't upgrade often, just go with what I know I can count on. I carry one of these and a microstream.

An old Eagletac, the Coleman that won't die, and a very trusty E1L. Kay carries a PD35 and a Petzl.
