enough all ready

I'm ready for more snow, I love the winter...but only if there's snow. :D Come on Beef, its Ohio and its supposed to be cold in January. I say bring on the fluffy white stuff. :thumbup:
 
I don't enjoy having to start my car an hour before I get into it! I am ready for Sping time like...right now!
 
I enjoy the cold when I am hunting but prefer it to be a little warmer when working outside.

I have a solution for that, as well as for clearing snow off the car. I park on the drive (no garage) and years ago I put a mains socket on the wall near it. When Winter starts to set in, I put a 1kW fan heater in the car, on a timer. If it really gets cold I'll just leave the heater on all the time. It keeps the car toasty and melts the snow off.

So, as long as I keep the drive well gritted and shovelled, we're good to go any time.

So far I haven't set fire to the car... or driven off with it still plugged into the wall!

I used to absolutely love Winter hiking and backpacking. There's nothing like being up a mountain, on a clear day, surrounded by crisp, white snow. The fresh smell and clean air is amazing too, even if it does freeze the snot in your nose. (used to because I haven't done it since I got married... hmm, might have to do something about that!)

Working though, I imagine I would prefer it warmer. Unfortunately I have an indoor job.
 
I'm done with the cold. I drill for soil samples for a living, today on our boat.
23 degrees fahrenheit, and I got soaking wet, not a good combination:thumbdn:
Everything that got wet froze in minutes, including my soaking gloves:grumpy:

Time for a heat wave, snow be gone!

I love the snow, but I have to say that I am quite jealous of this. Bike rides are so relaxing, but its definitely too cold for all of that up here for the time being. :(

Yeah it's been around 6 degrees up here, guess its warm enough for another camping trip. My record low it 16 so I guess I can try for a new record!
 
alright lora im ok with the cold as long as it snows. its the cold dry weather with no snow at all that i hate. if its gonna be this cold let it snow thats the only fun part about it. and i do like how quiet everything gets when theres snow covering everything. but if its just gonna be cold with nothing to show for it id just rather have the warm weather come hang out for a while.
 
i should have put up a title that said if its over 40 where you are you dont get to play..... you guys are killin me.
 
I wish it would snow here. It's too hot. I don't have aircon in my house. Which is a good thing becasue I would never go outside otherwise. So bring on the snow!!
 
Inch of snow on the way and currently a balmy 2 degrees.... ya we warmed up to the pluses!

I am only here for employment - once that is done I am moving! Going south to the warm climate of Ohio ... anywhere ... Heck in the winter Alaska has warmer weather! Some crazy people like it here... but I have been in the outside world and know there are better places. Its a free country (still...sort of...) and I am out of here as soon as I can be!

I guess if you live here you should expect this crap. But just because I expect it doesn't mean I have to like it. Bring on spring.
