enough all ready

The cold only bugs me when there in no snow!! It's been single digits here but no snow! Not enough to snowmobile here but plenty in the Adirondack mountains!

I am so jealous! Do you live close to the beach or were you just visiting?

I live half a mile from the beach 😝!

Living down here however,I do miss the mountians and the snow. I have the opposite problem than most of you.

Winter Wonderland... Well, I did say I wanted more snow. For the last few days the snow that fell has been very slowly melting as the sun came out occasionally. The picture below was what our garden looked like yesterday.

At 3pm today it stated snowing again and it has dropped at least another seven inches in the last seven hours. If it keeps this rate up we'll be knee deep by morning!

Let it snow!!!

That is amazing!!!! Awesome pic!

My wife and I went out for a walk just after my last post; we've just got back in. Midnight in the snow!

We walked in the clearing through the woods near our house, on top of the hill. The snow is falling more like tiny ice crystals than flakes, making it pack densely on the ground and sting our faces as the wind blew it around us. It is already knee depth out on the hillside. It's also absolutely perfect for snowballs!

We love snow!

In our garden now, the snow is level with the top of the walls and large plant pots that you can see in the foreground. That's about twelve to fourteen inches. It seems to be slowing down now though.

Got a bit chilly tonight. We lit a fire in the pit out back. Probably in the 60's here. Mid 70's tomorrow.

It snowed a while yesterday and left a nice layer of fluffy white snow all over. It was the good snow this time, the moist kind that you can pack into snowballs really well. I think I'm still a little kid praying for snow days on the inside :D

You're never to old to enjoy snow! That's what ours was like, very dense and perfect for making snowballs.

A snowplough came up our road this morning - I wasn't impressed. It left a snow bank of compacted snow about 2.5 feet high and a bit wider right across the bottom of our driveway!

I spent a while clearing it, then a neighbour came past and said that the forecast is for torrential rain tonight which is expected to wash away all the snow. Back to normal then... Boo, hiss!

At least we made the most of it while it lasted.
