Thanks guys for the comments. As always they are part of what drives me to make knives.

Hello to all. I had built four lock back knives with failed attemps some years ago, so I will call this one my first lock back knife. It is patterned after the Remington 1306. It is also the first time I use a bushing on the pivot. The knife was custructed out of 1/8'' stock with integral bolsters and linners, my own dyed and jigged bone, bolsters and shield have a 2000 grit statin finish and blade has a hand rubbed finish. Knife not for sale but plan on making more lockback knives.

2nd that - your jigging seems to have taken on a "vintage" look.
(oh!....great knife by the way ! :) )

Another sweet knife, Enrique. Congrats on getting that lockback to work like you want it to.

Nice going, Enrique. Hard to get more classic than the 1303/6 pattern!

These are all amazing knives..... but this one is my favourite!

Hello to all. Hope you all are enjoying the season. Here is a knife that I made a pattern for. I desinged it based on a Remington 1306 lockback and made it into a slipjoint and reduced the pattern to 3 5/8''. The blade steel is CPM 154 and the handdle material is my owne dyed and jigged bone. Knife not for sale but can always make another one.

I would also make mention that I recentlly visited with a makers who's work I have long admired and still do, he is Jerry Halfrich. I got to see how he makes lockback knives. I was really impressed with his techniques and his simple yet very effective way of making knives. Besides he making great knives he is a great person and I thank him for the opportunity to learn from him and also spending a great time with him. I really look foward to making some lockbacks after learning from him. Thanks Jerry.

That's a good looking, solid little handful of knife there, Enrique. Well done.

I spoke to Jerry shortly after your visit and he told me that it was a fun and productive time. (And I got the benefit of your jigged bone on a knife he made shortly afterward. :D)

In my opinion there is an untapped market out there for quality lock backs such as this. Please keep making them. I hope to own one of your lock back models myself one day after you get more up and going.
