Thanks to all for the great comments. As always they are a great source of encouragement for me. I'm just as anxious as Blues if not more for him to get it in his hands. You never know he might send it back. It will sure need some warm pockets to be carried around and I should not be put under the tree since it is going from a warm 84 degrees to -6 degrees. I say just put the package under the tree and the knife in your pocket. You know what they say it is the thougt that counts.

I like the way you think! ;)

Between this one and the Halfrich Scout a few weeks back, you are the man for jigged bone Enrique. It really looks outstanding.

Gonna be hard to leave that box alone until the 25th I think.

Mr. Blues. Santa likes nice knives too. Sleep well the "night before Christmas". :D

certainly the oldies have lots more value but as to performance pena's would be hard to beat. for a new maker do'nt you think he's come up fast elliott? that's about the max for pants pockets, do'nt go to a theater & lose it in the seat.

I think Enrique's exhibiting craftsmanship far beyond what the years would ordinarily connote.

I was thinking about this the other day in reference to some of the "newer" makers whose work I have great respect for and I came to the conclusion that some guys just have "it" and some guys don't, or just have less of "it". (What I'm getting at is beyond just the mastery of the equipment . Your eyes and hands quickly reveal who the "artists" are.)

Thank you all for the excellent feedback!

Congrats on a fine knife Elliott and Enrique.

I really like the jigging. Very appropriate for this pattern and size knife:thumbup:

I'm pretty sure I haven't been but thankfully others are in a charitable frame of mind during this time of year. ;)

Happy Holidays to you all!!! (And here's proof that there's even hope for the naughty. :p)

 UPDATE

Well, the HTT has landed and it's a honey!

A few quick observations:

Enrique's (beautiful) images don't really do justice to this knife. Where they fall short (like many images) is in truncating the look of the pattern. The knife I received has a long and graceful (svelte) appearance rather than the shorter, stockier appearance the image portrays. (In other words, the knife and blades are true to the original HTT pattern albeit scaled down in size.)

Knife weight is 4 3/8 ounces. A nice little handful of utility.

The blade grinds, tension and half stops are exceptionally nice and crisp.
Fit and finish is what we've come to expect from Enrique. First class all around.
The bone and jig is superb and fits the knife perfectly.

I think I'm going to be very pleasantly surprised when my wife gives me this gift on Christmas morning! ;)

Very, very nice knife, Elliott. Congratulations and Merry Christmas.

Great job, Enrique.

That is a truly beautiful knife. The pattern is a classic and one of my favorites and that bone is just amazing. Congratulations on a fine pick of maker and pattern, you two really got it right on the nose there.

He nailed the bone down very well. It seems that Enrique is somewhat of a rockstar. Great looking knife.

That is a great looking knife, the bone is really pleasing to the eye and bet it feels great in the hand! I love the pattern and final finish.

:thumbup:Elliott, that really looks fine. The bone is wonderful. Enrique has done well on that knife and I'm sure you will be happy with it. The swedges are fabulous and the bullet shield is gorgeous!!!

It looks like Ms. Santa is going to be nice to you this year... If I read that correctly. :D
