Entire Collection Pictures

Hey Ugly Duck, I think I've spent two hours looking at your collection. Got to be my favorite picture on Bladeforums. Thank You !

Second Picture, top right Khukuri... THAT is one I would sure like to get myself. I usually don't go in for the really ornate ones but that one is just right and the dark brown of the wood and the gold of the brass really look fantastic. The engraving on the blade is not over the top either, it is just right.;)

You have an impressive group there lal chatri! Very nice collection, especially since this isn't all of it.:thumbup:

here you go warty some close ups of the engraving detail

and a better view of the scabard

the scabard and handel are made from indian rosewood and when treated with boiled linseed oil come's up
a treat as you can see a beautifull timber to work with oh the top kuk in the last pic is the same but has a brass handel
heavy too

I'm glad you like it cuz my family has had just about enough. The old movie channel just finished a month of Kurosawa movies. I watched all of the Toshiro Mufune with a katana or wajaski in hand. Everybody just leaves the room when the sword comes out - no appreciation at all for these fine weapons.

Nice collection and pitcure, thank you for sharing

After far too long, here's a pictuer of DAD'S "whole collection" of HI goods:

TOP: Bamboo Cutter (now heavily resharpened & dinged up after first day's use)
BOTTOM: the much-vaunted, carved-handled, Teak-handled Kumar Karda (the "Family Grudunza"?;))

Very Nice Nicholas, you are good boy to your Dad. Very good of you and some useful pieces too.

I'm glad you all appreciate it: I cut myself twice ust getting the thing sharpened up for work, to say nothing of how I banged myself up afterward! I can almost hear that blade-nicked, little BC saying, "You should see the other guy......."
