I think the guy is playing stoopid, the board reference was probably to the fact the Porkgunner is a mod at BF, it does look like he put the broom down to write that response.

The other day I contacted him through eBay, suggesting that his package was worth $550 - 600, and that he was wrong about INFI not being avalialble, including a link to the Busse web site.

the reply, in total;

"You better check again Busse no longer uses INFI on their larger knives"

So I replied, asking him to back up that assertion, and saying that I had bought several INFI knives from Busse just in the last month.

his reply: "Are you aware that he does not use INFI steel on all of his knives,And at 1 point he was only using it on the very small knives,and was using D2 on the larger ones,"

I figure it is not worth continuing to argue.
 
He is a flippin Moron! Jerry should kick his ass! I think I am going to email him every day...I just wish everyone would stop bidding on it......unless he gets someone to shill bid it, it should stall soon.
 
I just emailed Ebay and told them of the guys "false" advertising, I would suggest others do the same. Bill
 
eBay doesn't care, they just want their fees. This is why eBay is rife with unscrupulous and/or stupid people.

Best to adapt the rules of the Bernard Levine Forum and never contact the scammers or any bidder foolish enough to be scammed. (you get banned in that forum for doing it, but it is a good idea in any case) The guy is a fool and a liar. He doesn't care what the facts are, he wants to rip people off. Anyone foolish enough to believe a functionally illiterate broom swatting moron and pay $900 for the knife deserves what they get. It is just like the fools who spend thousands on $5 Pakistani bowie knives with fake Patinas sold as civil war bowies. At least the fool in this case will get a good knife.

You're right RF, if someone buys it from him, then they do deserve what they get. I gave him the benefit of the doubt in my first message to him, but he has since responded calling me a "want to be" and so I wash my hands of him. I have better things to do than converse with a blatant liar. I just hate for people to get taken and put money in a liars hands, you know what I mean?

I can't believe how high the bids have gotten...it's in the high 600's now. This guy has to have a buddy running the bid up...it's already almost $100 over the highest price I've seen for the the BM-E with three days left.
 
All the bids above $475 have come from 2 bidders. All but 1 of those bids from 1 bidder. Both of these bidders have fewer than 10 feedback, and most of their bids have been on this item.
 
Too bad we can't see who is bidding on auctions anymore. I wonder how long until ebay gets its first lawsuit over their new rule. Encouraging shill bidding to see more profit, :thumbdn::thumbdn: :thumbdn:

I feel the same way. But I know there is nothing I can do.

The bidding is obviously being driven up by at least one shill bidder, and the seller knows he is selling artificially high, and lying. Scumbags.
 
At $660, it still hasn't hit his reserve. I doubt a shill would go over the reserve and trigger all the extra fees. I really hope no real bidder would consider paying those prices.
 
False advertising is condoned by Ebay because of their fee profits. Their stock has done very well. So complaining about a Busse Knife on FeeBay is just a waste of time. :barf:
