Looks like a great review. But, it begs the question, why would a French guy need a knife? Slice baguettes?
Perhaps to attach a white flag to?

I can't read French but this review seems well done and very detailed. Wished we could see more detailed reviews such as this, both in the print magazines and here on the forums instead of everyone repeating the same old thing and doing the same old tests. I gotta hand it to the Europeans, they know how to put a high-quality magazine together and their reviews of product is much better, overall, than what us Americans do.
Who knows, the reviewer may have hated the knife but I a damn impressed with the way he laid the review out.
I see him batoning, making a fire, chopping, shaving....he did dig with the blade and I do not recall seeing that done on reviews here, otherwise it seems to be the same typical useage of a knife that I expect to find in a knife review.
French Butcher, I think you control our language perfectly, far better than us southerners.
Great to see 19yr olds into this kind of stuff. Too bad so many in America don't have the chance or inclination.
I come from this forum and I can say that the French really appreciate ESEE knives (especially 4 !) For the quality and solidity of the blades.
We test and use your knife in some extreme situations to be sure to have a good tool in all situations.
Many people on this forum have the ESEE 4 and are very satisfied ( me too).
The tester, despite his age, has extensive experience in survival. I think it will be very honored to know that you enjoyed his test.
For my part, I try to inform people of the forum on news of ESEE products . It's not always easy because I do not control your language perfectly (thank you google !)
Being that I am a cunning linguist--a polyglot if you will--I will sum up our jeunne homme's impressions of the knife:
Not a bad knife but he'd really like to see an ESEE belt buckle.
Can you even own a knife in France???
Thanks for the post and let the reviewer know we were well impressed with his detailed review and would be happy to let him review more of our products.

Great review...in all respects.

The following from one of the comments tickled my fancy:
"XXXXXX is not the bad stuff per se, but it sometimes falls on lemons: flaws in the steel which after two blows it farts, etc.. Never heard of this stuff with the EEM."
Hi Guys ! I'm Guillaume, the one who wrote this review.
First, many thanks for all the commentaries, I can notice that I haven't worked for nothing. I like investing myself completely when I do something.
The ESEE RC-4 is really a good knife. Before, I didn't know this kind of knife but now, it's in my escape bag and all the things I take in my bag are things I can totally trust.
In a few days, I will try and translate my review in English for you, my mum is an English teacher (well, I haven't the same skill as you can see).
As for more testing, I shall be honored !
Bye lads !
