I made this set and matching firesteel for my friend in Colorado. Koa has a beautiful 3-D presence! Notice, we decided to cover the steel around the lanyard hole.

Also attached below is a YouTube video

That looks great !!! Inspires me to look into making something like that for my Junglas.

I asked MArathonman to make me some Koa wood handles for my RC-6 and he did such a beautiful job!! The wood is amazing and the fit and finish is perfect!!!

I did ask him to take some work in Progress photos for me and I have put them up on my Flickr page if anyone is interested.

If you haven't already, check out the video he made (link in his post), you can really see the shimmer of the Koa wood in the vid
It really turned out so beautiful and is a treasured addition to my Rat family

:D

That's really sweet! I need to make some wooden scales for a couple of my knives.

WOW!! That is quite fetching. I like your wood choice, brother. That looks REAL good. Moose

That looks amazing. I would like to see koa handles on a stripped 6. I'm sure that the wood grain would like nice with the steel.

Wow that's gorgeous man. I have a koa ukulele. I think its one of the prettiest woods. The handle really classes up that 6. Nice work!

Could I convince you to make some koa scales for my Izula?
