Esee AH-1 Goes Down Range

actually, i'd recommend specialty kite line, made of spectra. it's stronger than strong, THIN, supple, comes on giant spools for good value. about the only thing commonly stronger is kevlar line. amazing stuff.

Thats what braided fishing line is....Spectra

Thanks for the great post. I received my first AH-1 today and look forward to trying things with it. I like it so much I plan to get several more for my kit. I carry kevlar line in my kit and already found it usefull, now I have another use for it.

he did WELL Don.....WELL...not "good". But indeed Decklin you did very well. I am sold on your thinking process and drive. To both Decklin and Don and Cricket, would it be better to use a thin wire or dental floss instead of the bulky paracord? Not nit picking, rather just wondering if the more weight and bulk at the front end would cause the arrow to drop more at the front thus the arrow hitting the target at an angle? Mike

You could try adding a couple split shot weights to the front notch cut for the arrowhead, then wrap them up inside with the arrow to get the downward angle. Also maybe trying out some heavy lb test spectra line might be good at cutting down on the bulk of the paracord. The added bonus is it has NO stretch at all, giving you more energy transfer. You did one hell of a job Decklin, I can't wait to see your next updated version!!! Keep it up!
