ESEE Kukri?

I apologize for missing that peice of smartassery. Usually I'm pretty good at that :D

While I would love to have one, I doubt ESEE could meet the price point with a khuk. You're talking about a minimum 1/4 inch with much more metal than the Junglas. While a 5/16, 16.5 inch, old school CS LTC/HI Bonecutter shaped blade made of ESEE 1095 with a nicely shaped canvass micarta handle would be awesome for sure, it would be pricey. I love khukuri and think they make a great outdoors tool. My wife would be pissed if ESEE made one, cause I'd be saving my pennies. It would be one serious special/limited edition! Come on Jeff. You know you want to make one with a bottle opener!

lol, i would be saving my pennies right along with ya buddy. 2 things I really like are Khukuris & Esee products

In deed it would be although some true khukuri fans would refer to it a a klo (Khukuri Like object) because more than likely it wouldn't have the customary cho. As of right now I own 3 different size & types of nepalese Khukuri & I love em'

As an idea Lofty Wiseman has this parang inspired survival tool that is always sold out, that seems to have a new Fox knives quasi military "cousin" ... I could see the 8 inch version being very useful. It could fill the imaginary gap between the ESEE 6 and the Junglas.

The Parang is definitely like a Khukuri, as it is heavier for chopping & has a sweet spot. From what i've read it originated in Malaysia. There are so many different types of Khukuri for different jobs. Thats why i got 3: a chopper, a light duty 1 for brush & chopping & 1 thats just martial arts weapon

Not sure how much more useful a kukri could be than the junglas, but an option of a thicker blade junglas for chopping power would be a plus and still follow the ESEE lines. Maybe something to complement the ESEE 5 in a larger blade.

Since Esee doesn'tmake one, I have a Killa Zilla II that I pair up with my Esee 6. Great combination and the pair makes me feel like I can cut through the zombies and then set up camp afterward.

Cheers
Hugh

those are pretty eat, the Zillas, in the 2-3 flavors i've seen. if i had scratch, and found a good one (user even), i might go for it, but it's going to be some months at this rate, too many expensive things have happened recently. might have to sell some toys too. just to balance karma. do like my my khuks though :>
