ESEE pictures and chat 👍🏻

About a year ago, I picked up an ESEE-3. It's a great knife, but I'm not a big fan of the coated blades, so a few days ago, I stripped the coating off, and did the "forced patina" thing, with a vinegar soaked paper towel. It left some strange patterns on the blade, but I suspect it will even out over time.

Some people might think I'm crazy, but that's OK. 🤣

Yep. Just a flat piece of leather (7/8 oz, I think), that I cut out, and punched some holes in. Here it is before I dyed it, and added the keeper strap.

I also tried my hand at making a leather sheath for it. This one is functional, but ugly. I made a couple more which turned out a little better, but there is definitely a learning curve to leather craft.
