fourth knife in and the scales on my 6 are far from fluch. Yes, it is an ESEE. Honestly im not complaining. I really dont care, but i figured you guys would get a kick out of it.

Pics seriously needed! Never seen or heard of this issue. I'm sure the Esee boys would replace it if you wanted.
I got easily over a grand in Esee products and they are all perfect.

Just an educated guess , but are you beating the ever-living hell out of it ??

Mine fit so good it is just crazy. I tried to swap handles on two of my 3's and then they didn't fit so good because each set of scales is individually fit to the knife they're on.

I have few Esee knifes all fine and I haven't seen or heard about esee knife like that .

Send it back to the store if you just got it from for a replacement. If not then, to Esee or PM me for my name and address! :D

you might loosen the screws and then retighten them, i've got over a dozen and none have that issue. a pic would help.

take it easy

I've got several ESEE blades, and all of mine are right on the money. If you send it in, Mike and Jeff will get you set up. Strat

No pics? I'm curious why you'd post this thread without pics and then say it doesn't even bother you that the scales aren't flush. Seems like you're trolling.

Either way you could send it back and they'll fix it.

I agree with this. ESEE are fitted to each blank. I doubt something about the handle would be off.

I've had a few that you could see gaps at the edges; mostly in G-10 handled ESEE-4's. There's also a very slight gap at the round hole in the handle of my Izula II; it might have bothered me at first, but I got over it and don't notice it much anymore.

For all of these, gaps were very slight and only visible holding the knife up to a light source at the correct angle, and even then only at the very ends of the handles, farthest from the screws.

Don't reckon it's much of a problem. I never thought it was worth bringing up, and I can be absurdly OCD about fit and finish.

^Beating the snot out of it would tend to result in negative side effects. I don't think handle fit is covered by the warranty, but they might take care of you just the same, of course if it actually arrived that way contact the vendor first. This would be the first case of bad fit and finish from ESEE I've ever seen on the forums

For instance, pouring paint thinner on your BMW then mentioning later that Bimmers have poor paint quality just isn't quite fair...

Incredible...I'm speechless. You baton a knife, basically creating a misalignment of the scales then say the knife has poor fit and finish?

at this whole thing...
