ESEE starting to use A2 and MagnaCut

Busse's A2 was super tough.

FWIW, Chris Reeve ran his A2 One Piece Knife (OPK) line right at that hardness. See the card in the pic below.

Just feels unnecessarily soft for a 3" knife. Great design for EDC and lighter duty outdoor stuff by the look of it (referring to the Sencillo), and I'd rather a higher hardness in that role. I don't plan on beating it through a brick.

I haven’t checked the retailers, only quoted what the Esee rep wrote over at their own forum :)
To all interested, I talked to Shane on the phone directly this morning and got some confirmation on HRC targets so we can clear all this up definitively. According to him, the A2 target is 60-61 (you were right Pr3inar) and the Magnacut target is 62-63. The 55-57 I was seeing for the A2 in retailer spec lists is likely an accidental copy/paste of the 1095 spec and is retailer error.
