ESEE vs Becker Cage Match Final Round

As noted, there was no winner, but owning a copy of either of those would be a winning situation, and owning both would be a win, win. :D
As an aside, I would have liked to have seen those knives positions switched intermittently as I feel the knife in the vise had a slight advantage. A sort of truss if you will. ;)
Don't get me wrong, they "both" held up admirably.

Awhile back, I discovered ESEE knives here on Bladeforums and bought an Izula and ESEE 4. While I was pretty enamoured with the 4, I bought into the "wonder steel" mania, allowed myself to stray, and let it go. Part of me has always regretted the decision and I've been lurking here, living vicariously through everyone else, to feed my ESEE fix. After seeing these videos, I'm back and will be ordering a couple knives tomorrow. One of them will be a Junglas, but I can't decide if I should also get a 4, 5, or 6 for the other knife.

Anyway, thanks for re-opening my eyes and in doing so, saving me a metric butt load of money which would have been wasted.

Owned a 5, sold it to buy a backpack.

After watching these videos (as well as all the things I keep reading on this forum)... I've got to get another one.

Blown away.

Likewise mate - if i hadnt followed your posts i would have thought it was scripted!

I hope this converted a lot of people into the 1095 camp. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thank you. It made sense to me to go for it. Glad it went over so well.

I had a blast. Thank you.

I have an Izula,Rc3,Rc4,BK2,RC6,and a BK9.As far as I'm concerned,all my bases are covered!

Thank you. I have no doubt in the Becker, but I loooove the looks of my sexy a$$ ESEE 5. This was a great test. Makes me proud to own a ESEE 5. It was my first purchase of ESEE products when I was looking for my last ditch survival knife...'Nough said!

Dammit, now you got my son back on the 5 trip after having him convinced the 4 I gave him for Christmas was all he would ever need. Thanks alot :thumbdn: I will admit to enjoying the show.

hahahaha

"but, dad..."

just show him the noss destruction video of the 4. that should instill some faith in that blade. this is, unless he plans on letting a huge dude bounce on the knife a few times after completely abusing it.

Guntram,
This video along with the 5 with the convex edge, can't shut him up. Something to look forward too............. when he moves out in a few years and he can pay for it. Right now..... forget it.
