I want one of those rosewood knives. That is so interesting that the wood is salvaged from the old Cattaraugus factory. I read that the old factory burned down in a fire. Lots of history lost there. All those knives ground during WWII in that factory... Just the thought how many knives where ground in that factory. It amazes me that nobody bought that old company up to use. Either way, now you have a piece of that factory on your knife. Awesome. I want one. Good stuff, keep it up. Interesting stuff.

Well it's getting close. To anyone that has purchased one of these knives, thank you for keeping the Cattaraugus factory alive (in thought) and for supporting not only Mike and the others at JBF Champlain but also Evan (Esnyx).

Just sent my money in, and I am looking forward to this one!!

Quick update for you guys! Blades just came back from the laser etcher! It's nice and deep, so it has the feel of a stamp. I think they did a great job!

THanks Sarah and TTT!

Looks sweet to me! Will you end up grinding the tip more acutely?

The blade isn't finished yet, I need to adjust the tang, do a final profiling, hand sand it, etch the marks on the back side, assemble the knife, and finally, I'll sharpen it. At that point, all of the lines will be crisp and line up nicely.

Nice Evan!!! Can't wait for some linerless shadow patterns in the future.

The "former 15" I got from you gets a lot of pocket mileage.

I'll tell ya when I find my eyeballs and put them back in my head:thumbup:

You spelled "Eclectic" wrong....

JK Evan, awesome knife coming together bud!

When I was a young man and hand painted signs for a living, that was my most heard comment while I was working 20 feet up on a wall, or inside a bank door/window. :)

oooo how much will these be going for?
Not a question for the Traditional forum. We try our best to keep the commercial aspects of the hobby out of here. Inventory, who sells em, who doesn't, how much etc are all verboten. It's all in the guidelines. Thanks.
