Espada Any Good

I noticed that about mine just as you start to pull the blade up from it's closed position there seems to be a little roughness at the first inch of opening. I guess this will go away in time though. It's my first knife with the Demko lock so hopefully it will clear up.

I had that on my Recon. Maybe I have been lucky but only two CS knives with a triad where rough upon my receiving. The two toughest to depress for release where the Lonestar and the Makinac hunter. Both have a bit of weight, both built like brick shite houses. I still like and trust both knives.

I just picked up a large Espada a few days ago.

Seems like a great knife. Lots of grip options. I couldn't really imagine carrying the XL though.

I asked my dealer today if he could get me a Fancy Espada XL but he checked with his distributor and he said there was no way.

I believe their still out there you have to look around some. Also I believe I'm starting to get Triad Lock Thumb. I'm building up a nice callous from closing my Espada.

Ya, I have an XL hand and can barely open the large one handed. But the knife phreak , or Crocodile Dundee part of me, still finds some attraction to the XL. I think that the large is more than enough for me though, if I want to pocket carry.

I flicked my smaller Luzon so much that a screw fell out of that sliding lock.

I admit I don't carry it often, it takes up my whole pocket(not a problem with cargo pants though). Weighs less than a firearm that I am used to carrying so the weight isn't a problem. It is hard to clean fingernails with it. I have a soft spot for the over the top things(love my V8 too).
