I've now took it and chopped 10-12 limbs 1 1/2" in diameter (some oak) and no burrs developed. This is different than it was doing before. This weekend I'll do some more chopping and see what occurs. DM

Chopped several 2" oak limbs up for fire wood and it still has no burr. I think this cryo-treatment helped this hatchets performance. DM
