Etching machines

I used a piece of brass for mine. Do you think the graphite would do better than brass? I also bought some #94 etchant, hoping to improve the mark but haven't tried it yet.

Adam used the same source as I did. The video from Brian in the KD thread is exactly how I do my etching and I have not had any issues yet with stainless or plain carbon.

And sorry its carbon motor brushes I use not graphite. I liked the idea of them having a copper wire attached already.

Ditch the cotton swabs and saltwater and get some felt and real electrolyte. If you are not sure what electrolyte you want I recommend the starter kit from Patricia at IMG. It comes with three electrolytes and a neutralizer for around 20$.

I bought my Pesonalizer off Larry and it works well but I would take his word (and others) that the Personalizer Plus is worth the extra money.
