ever "discover" a spyderco after its discontinued?

For me it was the Poliwog, Rock Lobster and Phoenix. I was able to pick up the Poliwog and Rock Lobster, still looking for the Phoenix.

Tuff. They are still out their on the used market though. Great knife. Love mine :D

That's what I was going to say... didn't want one at first, but now I definitely do.

Same with Persians.

CF Balance.

Barong.

Apparently I regret not purchasing more Schempps, haha

Caly 3.5 G10

It was a sprint, which I missed. (wasn't looking either to be honest)

Picked one up off the Exchange on a whim and man am I digging this! Wanna pick up a backup but they are getting harder to find ... at decent prices.

i suppose the spyderco harpy plain edge, but thats a grey area. its not really discontinued because the serrated is still out there

Caly 3.5 G10... Which has been sitting at a local shop for over a year with box & papers amongst many other knives, my birthday is next month; Muha haha haha haaaaaa. I will have you!

First was the SpyderHawk - never found one
I bought a Superhawk and I regret selling it
I've always wanted a PE ATR in stainless or titanium - I purchased a serrated model, but it didn't do it for me.
I need to pick up a PE Tasman Salt.

Dyad, totally want a Dyad.

Do yourself justice and don't settle for anything less than the C-44 Dyad ( the big Micarta unit). If you can snag one of the newer/VG-10 models that would be a nice one to start out with. They did make a small Micarta handled C-39 Dyad Junior but those are getting very tough to find>> that was one of my very biggest regrets when I sold both of the Micarta Dyad Jr. models.

The FRN Dyad Juniors are good too but the blades just aren't long enough for the stuff I do with a folder. The Dyad is truly one of Spyderco's LOVE-HATE folders>> people either love it dearly or hate it for a lot of different reasons>> there doesn't seem to be anything in between.

Spyderco has so many great discontinued models which if brought back in a newer/better blade steel would undoubtedly make for great Sprint Runs.

I guess I am a weird one as I don't love it but don't hate it. It is a touch thick but my biggest 2 gripes are the pocket clip seems like it is half way down the knife and obviously the unused blade sits up high due to being a Spydie hole. The good is the SE blade has belly unlike a Rescue and is a real work horse. I might try it again but I have really gone small in my knife purchases of late. Wish there was a Dyad in G10 that was as robust as the C44 but was exactly half the size
