Every time someone needs to use a knife around here they say hey Waynes got a knife on him. I get picked on for carrying at least 2 knives all the time. Does this happen to anyone else?

Standard topic, standard situation. Be nice, let them know you are capable and helpful. Insist they treat you (and your knives) with respect but don't get belligerent about it. DO NOT let anyone else hold your knives.

All the time.Everybody knows i have multiple sharp folders on me.I take the abuse with pride.(And sharp implements at the ready.):)

Everyone knows I carry a knife.

No one picks on me.

Has to do with choice of friends and the basis of our friendships.

They know I am a friend and that I carry a knife. In that order.

People around here think It unwise to make fun of the guy with the knife on him.

There was 1 guy that use to pick on me for being a knife-nut.

Then I stabbed him & fed him to the hogs.

Some of my friends are shocked when they ask me to use one of my knives and it is one of the rare occasions and I don't have one. And there's always the person who says, " are you afraid of getting mugged or something? you must be paranoid!"

i get made fun of until i show them the knife and they are genuinley impressed and then they start making fun of it/me when i tell them my folder costs more than what they get paid in a week.:D

I get made the butt of jokes occasionally, but usually, people are impressed with my knives. I'll show them my knife/ knives if they ask politely, but unless they are one of the few people I really trust, they don't get to touch. If we lived in a society where more people were responsible with knives and treated other people's property with respect, I might be willing to relax that rule a bit, but sadly, such is not the case.

Oh God..., they wouldn't enjoy Texas. :D

When I actually tended to carry knives fairly openly I got plenty of flak over it. People would freak out and literally panic when I cleaned my nails, etc.
Yes, quite a lot of panicking and general media derived reactions. One day I realised quite how much trouble I was causing myself, and stopped bothering.

Haven't carried a knife for quite some time now, although I often get people who commented negatively on doing it in the first place request one in public. In the years I stopped carrying an awful lot of people have been stabbed, and an awful lot of people are forcibly searched.

The situation is very different...
