A d*&#khead decided to break into my car last night and rummage around to try and find anything of value. The only thing I had in the car was a Cold Steel Master Hunter in the center compartment which of course they stole. I guess they were pissed I didnt have anything of real value so they broke all the windows too. Seriously, on a side note, what is wrong with people these days?

Ever have one of your blades stolen?

Quite some time ago when I was in Boy Scouts:

We where going out on a camping trip and we all had to lay the contents of are packs (and pockets) so the scout master could maker sure everything is there, anyway long story short, laid my pack out on the table and about fifteen minutes later after i get the ok from the scout master I go to pack it back up don't notice any thing.....then on the ride hope I check my pocket. nothing. I call the scout master, no knife has been turned in. End of story still don't know where that knife is and I'm sure one of the other kids stole it.......lil bastards:grumpy:

Oh yeah. Had a $200+ Boker to grow a pair of legs and head to Deleware. To say the least I was royally pi$$ed since I thought this person was my friend.

My acquaintences that are smash and grab thieves only break one window, so they don't get caught by making too much noise. Those that believe in Karma only break back door windows (cheaper to replace). All 4 windows being broken sounds like possible retribution. Make any enemies lately? Piss off the kids in your hood?

Luckily I havn't had any knives stolen. Tho I would be raging pissed if this happend to me, I keep my first knife I made in my truck and I would be heartbroken to see it stolen. I made a father/ son set with our initials engraved into them. Man I would be pissed! !

Got my benchmark skirmish stolen at a party

Benchmade, not Benchmark. They are 2 different companies.
The incident might not have been random. It may have been done by a person you know. Busting out all your windows is not something typically done by random thieves.

I've donated my fair share of knives to the Argentine post. Sadly, they can break into any package, grab whatever they fancy and there's nothing you can do about it. I filed several complaints, even reported some of the thefts to the police, and after loads of paperwork and a lengthy investigation all I got was a nice letter telling me that the sender probably just mailed me bricks instead of knives (the boxes I received were slashed open, filled with pieces of brick and taped shut).

The staff at my local airport have helped themselves to a couple of SAKs and a Leatherman Charge Tti from my checked luggage.

One of the several times I was held hostage at gun point (half a block away from a police station...) the robbers took my backpack with my F1, a custom necker, a SwissTool and some other stuff. When I owned an outdoors gear store I got robbed by policemen (an officer from the same precinct testified, and we had eyewitnesses and recordings of them loading my things into squad cars) and they took a couple of custom knives I had on display. A few of the joys of living in a third world country.

My girlfriend is from Argentina and she always calls it the 3rd world. They stories I have heard make visiting seem less fun.

Side note, I had a zt 0300 stolen at work last week

I had a burglary years ago when living in Arkansas. Thirteen knives stolen. None were especially valuable (not by today's standards especially) but they weren't common either, not like I could just press a computer button and order new ones.

It took 13 years to finally find identical replacements for those knives, or about one year per knife.

That's why whenever there's a knife storage question on BladeForums, I always ask "Does it lock? And is it convenient and easy for someone to carry off?"

My luck they would steal my knife...cut themselves really bad.... Then sue me!

Those kinds of people are the worst. I've heard stories of people breaking into other peoples' houses, injuring themselves while robbing the place, then suing the people who live there, and some of them even win. Absolutely disgusting.

I had a knife stolen that still irks me to this day. I had a Herbertz knife that my future in-laws brought back to me from Germany that was stolen out of my gym locker my Jr year of high school. I know that they are now just mass pieces of chinese junk these days, but this was actually a nice German knife. The Karma comeuppance? I knew who did it, but I couldn't prove it. What I DID notice was a nice heavily bandaged cut on his fingers the next day. See, this particular Herbertz had a weird lock. It wasn't a lock back, it wasn't a liner. You actually had to kind of push down on the blade and handle just the right way to disengage the hidden lock. I had never seen anything like it before nor have I sense. I promptly cut myself with it when my future father-in-law gave it to me. Judging by his wound, ol' Sticky Fingers looked like he had problems with it too:D

My knives are either on my person, or locked up in my pelican case, which I've hidden in my room.
So no, I haven't.

Stolen...not really. I put down a knife at work and forgot about it then when I realized it was missing someone already took it. Good thing it was a cheapie.

Similar to bob W .. had a breakin and they took off with my CRKT Kasper Polkowski fixed blade (plain edge). Not an expensive knife by any means, but it was one of the first knives I ever bought. Took me yearrrsss to find another one (at a reasonable price). Even thought about ordering an original one from Al himself... but by the time I got around to it Al had already passed away... which is a real shame.

Joe.

My home got broken into a couple of times back in the late 80's. I lost over a thousand dollars worth of knives in one shot, including a couple of customs. Luckily, they didn't find the main stash or my gun safes, just grabbed what was laying out.

I had a knife stolen a little over a year ago. It was just some cheap hunting knife but my dad had given it me so it had a lot of sentimental value to me senses hes passed away. I had it in my car at my apartment and some jackass broke into my car and stole it from my center counsel along with the fuse from my fm transmitter (i still dont understand why he only took the fuse). the next day when i got to my car the door was locked on my car like normal but the center council was still open and the knife gone. No broken glass or anything thankfully but to this day im still sore about it.
