Ever had a knife stolen? I did...

Has a swisschamp that I kept in my jeep. Loved it too. Tool for most scenarios. Some kid stole it. My neighbor identified him for me since he saw him in my car. I was fuming. Three days later kid overdosed on fentanyl lollipops. Sayanara douchebag.

We were at a braves game three years ago and someone cut my convertible top to get to a cheap Gerber my wife had left in the seat. Losing the knife sucked...replacing the convertible top at a thousand dollars hurt more.

I've had 2 stolen through USPS. A customized Benchmade 940 with laser marks and a little fixed blade I purchased from a knifemaker here.

Too many to count, all stolen by other soldiers.

A Leatherman UDT. CRKT Hissatsou, Bradley Alias 2, Benchmade Morpho. Those are just the ones that stick out in my mind.

years ago my roommates and I threw a big new years eve party and someone went in my room and stole a Buck/Strider off of my dresser. being a young fella in my early 20s, money wasn't easy to come by, so that was one of my better knives. needless to say I was bummed.

Years ago, my car was in the shop for a brake job and one of the workers lifted an early Buck 112 from between the front seats. I confronted the guy that worked on my car and he denied the whole thing. I replaced the knife, but it just is not the same.

Now days, I would go to the owner of the business and tell them. If a worker is willing to steal from a client, they are willing to steal from their coworkers or boss.

About 10 or more years ago, someone broke into my car and stole an original Leatherman Wave I kept in the glove compartment, and a crappy $5 window shade (or whatever they're called). Which is why I never leave any knives or other tools in my car anymore. If some idiot is going to steal something, I'm sure not giving him/her a knife.

I had someone try once. I loaned it to him as he forgot his, at the end of the trip I asked for it back, he denied that he had it (obviously lying, I could see the clip) which I pointed out. He said that it was the one he said he'd left at home, at which point I suckerpunched him and took my knife back. It was definitely mine. Same scratches on the finish from the first time I tried to sharpen it. Never saw the lying bastard again.

I started collecting knives when I was 9-10 years old...would go with dad to help at gun shows and then buy knives with whatever money I made. Some a-hole broke into our house when I was a senior in high school and stole my entire collection, minus my Gerber Gator First Production run (1990), Gerber Paul Knife (1996) and a Benchmade Mini Reflex (they were put away in the safe). I'm 37 now and my budget has gotten larger, so needless to say I've rebuilt, but I still miss some of the knives that were taken...some big/goofy Gil Hibben production knives, a couple Cold Steel fixed blades, a couple Italian switchblade knock-offs, a bunch of spydercos, a nice butterfly knife, and a few Benchmades.

I went to a bar one night with my girl. I forgot that I had my Spyderco Dyad in my pocket. The doorman busted me on it. He said he would hold it for me, and I didnt want to walk all the way back to my truck. I ended up forgetting about it when I left. Went back the next day and the prick denied taking it. Didnt get another until the recent sprint run.
