Ever had a knife that you can't stop carrying even though you have "better" knives ?

I do, and its a black FRN Spyderco Endura 4 FFG. In the past two weeks, I got a Benchmade 707 Sequel, a ZT 350, and a Spyderco Caly 3.5. In theory, I like each of these knives better than the Endura. I mean, they are all what I would call nicer knives. However, in practice, that Endura is just perfect for me for EDC. Kinda makes me wonder why I keep buying new knives. Lol. Anyway, Does anyone else have a knife like this, and if so, what is it?

I have a few nicer knives but I often reach for my Delica when I'm walking out the door. Before I found this place I carried that knife everyday for a year so it will always have a spot in the rotation.

Yes, I feel almost naked without a victorinox Swiss Army knife in my pocket, been that way for years, I have many pocket knives that dont get carried because the sak has to come with me and I only have so many pockets. I find that I use the tools so often on a daily basis that a knife only will not do.

I have other knives I feel this way about, my buck 110 and 112, as well as my opinel and delica 4 even though I have knives with better materials, more expensive designs and cost.

I have edc'd a Spyderco Delica 3 frn, for a couple years. I thought i would upgrade to the Delica 4. The Delica 4 leaves me COLD. regards Henry

Yup I don't have any really nice knives but I paid 20 bucks for my kershaw volt 2 and I love that knife

My SAK is always in my left front pocket, SAKs in general are top of the list when it comes to "bang for the buck".

Other than that, I often find myself carrying my CRKT M16-13Z. The AUS-4 steel really sucks when it comes to edge retention, but the knife has really great ergonomics. The handle almost feels like it's made for my hands. It also has a very slim profile so it doesn't take up much space in my pocket.
The flipper also works really great and I actually like the manual LAWKS system.

I got it pretty cheap too, so it's not that bad if I lose it or it gets confiscated

BM Mini-Barrage. I love this knife. Rock solid, fast as lightning, and partial serrated blade cuts through anything. I have an XM-18 and a Sebenza, but I can't let go of my Mini.

I've always liked my CRKT M16Z and still carry it every once in a while.

Only reason why I don't as much is that it is really thick compared to my preferred knives.

I'll take my CQC-7 over my Umnumzaan any day of the week. Why? I don't know. The Umnum is AMAZING. Just prefer the 7. Can't really explain it.

I have a byrd Meadowlark, it is like a choiled Delica which I like. I still have it in the rotation. Best bang for the buck.

My SOG Vulcan. Flipper, Arc loc, thick vg-10 blade, comfortable handle and a deep carry clip. It is solid and smooth. And sheeple friendly.

I don't own too many "nice" knives anymore, but budget knives
are so nice that I don't feel bad about carrying a cheapie.
I happily carry my Skyline or Cryo alongside my BM or Kershaw Knockout.

Most definitely!

My CRKT Drifter and Premonition are both my most used knives I own.

My guiltiest pleasure would be an extremely abused little ~$25 aluminum CRKT Ripple. I've sanded down every sharp edge that wasn't on the blade, and tuned it to the point that it's smooth to flip yet at the same time it's next to impossible to get open with just arm motion flicking.

I feel particularly guilty carrying it because not only do I have some expensive knives, but I have several nicer versions of the Ripple itself--including two stainless frame lock Ripples and a titanium Eros. I'm carrying the blue coated stainless version today, but when I'm traveling in territory where LEOs are sometimes knife-insane (in my experience, Wisconsin, for example) I carry that unflickable yet still flippable aluminum Ripple. The nicer blue Ripple in my pocket at the moment will open pretty easily with just a hard flick of the arm. I also throw the cheapie aluminum one in my checked baggage for the TSA to steal instead of an expensive knife sometimes when I fly.

Even worse? Yesterday I left all of my beloved Benchmades at home and carried an <$10 Enlan M028, and I liked it. I feel dirty just admitting that . . .

This same thing keeps happening with my ZDP-189 Endura...for some reason I keep taking it with me more often than my 'better' and more liked knives.
