When it's "that time" you don't hang around and feed her cake. She just gets fat and fights are just more likely.

I always work late and have things to do on "those days". She knows I'm avoiding her, but when the moods have improved and I am around more, all is forgotten and we are happy.

Well at least you can have your cake and eat it too!:thumbup::D
 
well, i made it clear when she first realized that im a knife collector, that their is 2 rules,
¨
1) i get my knives with my money, and as long as i ern money, i will buy knives with them.
2) i will display my knives so everyone can see them, and their is noting that will change that.

note that this was before we moved in together.

the first 6 months she went absolutely ballistic about my knives, gear and other purchases.

well time passed, and we came to this solution.

1) i get my knives as long as i got enough cash to pay my half of the food and the bills (we split the cost off course) then she has no right to care about my hobbies.

2) as long as she has our bedroom occupied with junk, blankets, pillows, stuffed pets, more junk and so on... i get my knives.

she knows that their is no way i will ever stop loving my hobby, and she has on some level accepted this, and she will accept it as long as our living is not damaged by my knife addiction.

Tell her when she comes back, your going to show her the true purpose of all those knives!!!!!!!!!!!! Muahahahhah!

Another day we were driving down the street and I suggested we stop and look at boats just for fun. 2 hours later and I had me a new boat.

PS she likes my knives!

Good women are out there, and they don't force you to watch Meg Ryan movies either.

I think I'm going to survive this.....I put the Swiffer-Duster (Baby Come Back) away after cleaning the chocolate off the plate and there is a Rambo movie on AMC!:D

I grew up with 3 sisters .... I'm pretty much immune to that time no matter who it is ... me and Dad fished alot when I was growing up. Sometimes for a week at a time. "Chris, pack up your poles, we're leaving town for a few days!"

Your dad sounds like a wise man! My dad told me the secret to a long marriage is to not get divorced;). The secret to a happy marriage is to not spend every minute with each other and that way you enjoy the time you do get together more.

The g/f always take second to the hobie. That's the whole point of a "hobie". If the g/f was first then you would have a hobie that consisted of girls. She wouldn't want that would she?

I like your arrangements and don't see a problem. I showed my wife your pics after reading the thread to her and she didn't see a problem with it at all.

Of course my wife also asked my about Busse and INFI and listened to me and asked questions for over an hour on Christmas night after everything was over and we were winding down.

This is the same woman that buys me knives and firearms too! She's a keeper! :thumbup:

Bah...she's at home right now pissed at herself because she left, and wishing she hadn't made her silly comment. When she wants to come back, make sure she buys you an INFI reconcilliation gift.

Ha Ha... Thanks, that gave me a good laugh and my wife even laughed... A bit familiar a few years back... Luckily she's accepted that I'm "strange" so the knives are fine with her..
