I didn't find a Kershaw specific forum, so I'm posting here for any advice.

Just wondering if anyone has ever needed to use a knife manufacturer's lifetime warranty and if the experience went well?

I have a Kershaw speed bump practically brand new, put it in my pocket and the clip snagged and was snapped completely off. Sucks. I shouldn't have strayed from my normal EDC's of benchmade and mtech.

I'm about to send this off back to the Kershaw company in Oregon. I'll post an update later and let you know how it pans out.

Kershaw has impeccable customer service and the best warranty in the business. You should have no problems whatsoever.

I dropped my Leek one day and the little safety broke. I called Kershaw and told them what happend and they sent me 2 replacements for the safety within a day or two. Great customer service!

No need to send the knife back, unless you are without a torx driver. Call or email them, explain what happened and you will get mailed whatever you need short of a new blade/handles.

Thanks for the replies. I just got off the phone with Kershaw and they said to send it on in. Sounds like great service so far! Now just need to get down to the post office.

Unfortunately the pocket clip snapped and also took a chunk off of the handle, so no way to repair on my own. Thanks though for the tip.

In 1994 I bought my first Busse, a Steel Heart II, and was so impressed with it that I ordered a smaller model. When it came I was disappointed. There was no one extreme flaw I could point to, it just wasn't as finely finished as the first one. Overall it just had a cruder appearance. I sent it back to Busse with a note. A few days later my phone rang and it was Jerry Busse himself. He offered to send my money back or send a replacement knife. I chose the knife and it was very nice. It was an original Badger Attack, which I still have.

A side note: About six years later, after having no interaction at all with Jerry except that one phone call, I walked up to him at my first Blade Show and introduced myself. He immediately said, "oh, yeah, from down in Alabama." Wow, I wish I could remember people like he can.

Kershaw has the best warranty ever. i broke a torsion bar on my blur, and within a week I had 4 in hand, no questions asked. they are the best in the business.

I think they ask for six weeks turnaround time on something like this, but based on my experience I'll bet you'll have the knife back in less than three. Kershaw's customer service is amazing.
