Ever surprised by what's in your pocket?

I remember a surprise moment now.

Part of my job involves work at data centers, and I have a toolbag of stuff that's useful there. We are dedicated work-from-home, and have people all over. Last year we flew a bunch of folks from related departments in for a meeting so everyone could meet in person, and I took several folks to visit our main data center, mainly just so they could see it.

Anyway, we did a few small tasks, a coworker was digging in my tool bag for something, and pulls out an Ultratech. Aside from being a definitionally "scary knife" to non-knife folks, it is also not very legal to carry where I am. I have no idea how it ended up in that bag, I must have just been careless at some point.

It was fine, mostly just funny. But it did teach me to be a little more careful about where I leave things.

Yep I’ve surprised myself with a different knife in my pocket. I change up from time to time depending on what I’m doing that day. I’ve caught myself trying to flick open a 110 like a flipper, I’ve tried to close a vantage liner lock like a back lock or trying to close a 110 like a liner lock. I always feel stupid and wonder about myself. 😆 but the biggest surprise is when it’s not there and I’m trying to think if I left it at home or if I’ve lost it. 😝 that’s just one reason why I have knives stashed away in various places.
