Has anyone ever ordered anything through www.paramilitarygear.com? They have the benchmade 42 for $153 but I wanted to ask everyone's opinion about them. I already played around with the site a little, and I am not sure if they are real or not. I added the knife to my cart, but when I click checkout it just keeps showing me what is in the cart. There is an option to "login" but no option to register or create an account. Any opions would be nice, I am only curious and thought if the site is legit then maybe others can use it for a good deal. I already broke down and just spent the extra cash to get my 42 in the mail. It should be here in two or three days, I am super excited to finally be able to flip one. I think it will be well worth the extra money and the less hassle of messing around with maybe another "smokesign.com". I am still super stoked on my typhoon, and once I get my 42 I am going to start working on the typhoon, I just cant bear to take it apart and have nothing to flip. Thanks to all.

Oh, Thank you for the advice. I am new to the forums and am still learning the ropes. I posted it hear because I was looking at the bm42 on the site, but I guess what youre buying isn't important to getting my question answered. Thanks again.

It looks abandoned to me. They have some discontinued Benchmade models present. I'm guessing this site is not an authorized Benchmade dealer (based on their SKUs) which means that they'd have to get their Benchmade products though a secondary source. Their prices are about dealer cost on the secondary market which leads ot me to believe this site hasn't been updated in quite awhile. No phone number or physical address contact info either. The "about us" link pulls up an "Ecommerce Plus Template." I'd stay away.

I don't normally chime in on stuff like this but after the post on smokesign.com we got dozens of "will you match this price?" emails. Outdated little sites like this are a headache for customers and other merchants. I'm glad to hear you spent a little extra to avoid a potential headache.

Yeah, after that smokesign.com ordeal I just decided its so much more worth it to spend the little extra and give business to real dealers who are repudable and dependable. I found paramilitarygear about the same time as smokesign but I didn't know if it was for real or not and didn't want to ask about it until I had the money to buy... I was worried that maybe I would blow the lid off "the fabulous deal" that I had found and others would buy out the 42 before I had a chance to order one for me. Anyway, that fabulous deal was really a big headache in disguise and I am so glad I didn't even try to mess with that website. I emailed them and never got a response so I think you are right and its an old website. Now my 42 is in the mail and I can't wait until it gets here, I am so freakin excited. Thanks to everyone for all your help and input/opinions.
